I have never given a review online for the simple reason that I have never had an underwhelming experience as today. The owner of this coffee shop is the perfect example of poor service par excellence. Let me explain.
I am one of those adventurous people who ventures to different parts of the city to try new coffee shops. A couple of weekends ago on the family day weekend I decided to check out this coffee shop. Before I headed there, I checked the hours of operation on the Saturday, which was not the holiday, noticed they close at 4.30pm on Saturday and ventured out to check it out, all the way from North Vancouver. I arrived there at 2.45pm and when I ordered an Americano to stay, the owner told me that he is only doing to go. I asked why? He said he is closing at 3pm. I asked why as it says 4.30pm on Saturday? He said he doesn’t want to hang around on a holiday weekend till the hours he advertised as closing time. I thought that was interesting, gave him the benefit of the doubt and decided to visit another day.
That other day was today. His hours of operation are recorded on Google as 4pm on weekdays. I go there today at 3.15pm and ask for an americano to stay and he says I have to finish it in 15 minutes as he closes at 3.30pm. I am like, what? It says you close at 4pm and I prefer to sit and drink my coffee in a relaxed manner. It is a thinking time ritual. He says he can make my coffee as long as I can drink it and leave in 15 minutes. I came all the way from North Vancouver to try his coffee shop and he somehow doesn’t respect or show courtesy to me, a customer who has tried to go there twice. All because he wants to leave early.
I simply told him he is a terrible businessman and walked out.
Mr. Blondy, always strive to see things from the perspective of your customers, people like me who venture all the way from another part of the city simply to try your coffee shop. I hope you learn from this experience and provide better service to others who frequent your business. We don’t come strictly for the product but for a good experience. No one wants to receive poor customer service. We will simply vote with our money to...

Microwaving a perfectly good chipotle chicken burrito? It could have been sooo good. Instead it was limp and soggy. Right beside the microwave is a fully functional panini press.
I was surprised to see a side of nacho chips accompanying my burrito and thank you for that. Unfortunately, it was served with a side of ketchup. What no salsa?
I should mention this is not the first time I have received 'nuked' food there - but I figured I would try them again.
This is a cool local and quaint coffee spot. I hope this finds them well and they decide to update their...
Read moreI like it. I came here after buying new shoes. I'm not a big fan of the neighbourhood because it's generally pretty stuck up. The owner was cool, I liked him because he was German. I imagine a lot of customers around here are really high maintenance and expect to have their egos flattered wherever they go. I found the guy pleasant and easy to chat with a little. The bathroom was also fairly clean, which matters to me.
The cookies are pretty good. It's two medium sized cookies kinda stacked together, not too burnt, not too gooey. I got the brewed coffee, pretty, pretty good. Well balanced. I would definitely come back. It's nice to find a place that's not...
