I just experienced the best sourdough bread in the lower mainland. Everyone I know thought i was a slow learner. But they have not tried the sourdough The real, deal sourdoug. This bakery uses the levain that is then natural clip of starter you must take from your own starter and refers it to keep growing it. No yeast involved. It is the most amazing thing to eat when you find this stuff. And I’m no fan of bread. d is that a true blue sourdough baguette. So be careful. If you want a true sourdough be sure it will be. Usually they bake them in a round loaf. And they kindly slice it for you too As I was leaving with my treasure, I saw a baguette. I asked is that a true blue sourdough baguette. I was answered with YES. I will retuned next week to try the baguette. And I am confident it will make me swoon. So when you go there to find yiur own. Reemmenr. The sourdough Ghnkoad will be a small round loaf of bliss. And they slice it for you too. It’s $5.00 I think and every penny of that is worth it. I’d say something silly like ā€œ THIS SOURDOGH LOAF IS THE. EST THING SINCE SLICED BREADā€. Try it for yourself. You’ll love it like I do. It’s inside the entrance to the Indeoendent Grocer store. I will include a pic to help you find it. You’ll likely find it easier than I did. It had apparently been there for years. I will, post this right now. Because I am vision impaired I will come back here tomorrow to be sure you can read it. I just wanted tomghare this delight right away. ā¤ļøjust remember. Bonnie’s Bakery at Champlain Mall.

Bring cash or debit card to avoid a credit card surcharge. Highly recommend the coconut snail if you’re looking for something sweet (but not too overwhelmingly so). Love the coconut filling.

Muffin tasted like bread. Chocolate chip density low. Rather eat a loaf of bread. Awful.

I have been buying from this bakery for 30+ years as my parents took me when I was a kid. This is an excellent bakery in the small Champlain Mall that has survived all the surrounding changes. The owner is always quietly working in the back and I am always greeted by a guy and a few young ladies who work at the front. They are always tenative and patient. The guy was very good natured when working with a very challenging customer in front of me questioning how the bread was made. I just left after buying some goods on November 1st the lady in the red shirt is very warm and friendly. They don’t seem to treat me any differently despite the deformity on my face so they are very nice people!

I would highly recommend this bakery and usually go...

Customer service is pleasant but I wish I could say more for the goods. Tried this place many times and have been disappointed every time. No real flavor to many of the pastries, blueberry and chocolate muffins or the various types of berry scones. Bland cakes or just simply unexplainable flavor. I got the carrot cake once and the carrots in it were large chunks and the cream cheese frosting tasted like mayonnaise. I asked others to try it as I was confused and they had no idea what they had bitten into. Their croissants and pecan tarts were the only things we collectively noticed were consistently good though they do have a wide selection of items so we didn't...
