I placed a scheduled takeout order through the Chicko app over an hour in advance. Upon arrival, I was told my order still wasn't ready and it would be another 5 minute wait. That's fine. I waited patiently as 5 minutes turned into 35 minutes, and finally after approaching the desk to complain, I found out my order had been sitting on their takeout counter this entire time.

No apology was offered, no discount, not even an offer of a complimentary side of radish or pop as a gesture of good will. To make things worse, I get back home to find that not only is my chicken cold and soggy, they got my order wrong (or gave me someone else's order). To clarify, it wasn't busy at the time. I was one of three customers being served, and yet all of us had issues with our orders being delayed (and apparently, mixed up).

All in all, I would highly recommend avoiding this particular location. I realize that they're new and still ironing out some of the kinks of opening, but the entire experience was a complete disaster. I've eaten at many other Chicko locations and their chicken is delicious with efficient customer service, so don't write off the brand. Maybe just this particular franchise--at least until they get their...

Ordering from Chicko Chicken last weekend was the first time to try out their food. We ordered 2 orders with different flavours. Then we waited thinking of the tasty chicken just being made for us. 20 minutes later our order number was not called meanwhile the person after us received their order and left. Then another order was call but not us. At this time I went to the counter and asked about my order, they looked at me scratching their head. Then all of a sudden she pulls a box out and said oh this is your food. I told her it was not acceptable, my order has been boxed and sitting around for 25 minutes now. The chicken would be soggy by now. They did not offer to make me a new order and expected me to take the box in front of me. At that time I was feed up and asked for a refund. There is so many places that sell chicken in whatever form or taste you want - why should I take this terrible service. This just leaves me with a bias from ever going to a Chicko Chicken again. So sad for the owner if they do this to...

NOT Korean fried chicken

We went to try their chicken today for the first time. The menu made it sound like it was Korean fried chicken. We ordered the yangyeom (sweet and spicy). When we got it we were surprised how they came in these huge balls but upon first bite we learned that half of it was just batter (sticky doughy texture). The rest were also just as doughy.

While the chicken itself was tender and tasty, this is NOT Korean style fried chicken. It’s more like a heavy battered chicken meatball. It still tasted good but definitely not worth the price and not what we expected.

Edit: ok I’m changing this to 1 star. I got home and took apart the remaining chicken balls. It was half yellow ‘batter’ and chicken skin and half actual chicken. In fact, it was so … unexpected… that I decided to make a video review of these ‘meatballs’ being taken apart.

Definitely will not go back and wondering if this is unique to this store or to others as it is a...

Got a half-and-half chicken for takeout for a picnic! It was ready just 10 minutes after ordering. We chose the original and soy garlic boneless options. The original was juicy and quite good, while the soy garlic also had good flavor, though the surface was a bit overly sticky—almost like candy. The half-and-half was just about enough for two people, and overall, I enjoyed the takeout experience here. Not sure if I’d dine in though—the space looked a bit cramped.

Ordered 4 different flavors through Uber Eats. Three of them were alright, but the Cheese Snow Chicken was completely undercooked and bloody. The whole box was undercooked so I had to cook them separately for it to be edible. Pretty disappointed considering it’s not a cheap box of chicken. They should fry it for a bit longer especially for bigger pieces.
