We had a pretty bad experience at this restaurant when we came here for my friend’s birthday. First of all the food was fine, however the customer service was not nice at all. We brought a birthday cake and asked her to put it in the fridge for us, and one of the 2 servants told us that she could check the fridge and then just took the cake away and didn’t say anything about that. After we finished our meal and asked if they could bring the cake to the table for us, one of them just brought the birthday cake box to our table and kinda threw it on the edge of the table. Then they said that we could not light the candle which was ridiculous because it was a birthday and there was only 1 candle, we then just agreed with that. Then we asked if we could have some plates, and she gave us our plates and said we couldn’t bring food from outside but this time it was fine. And a few minutes later, we realized that we had no utensils and once again asked for them. The other servant came by with the forks and said again “This is the last time that you can bring the food from outside into here” and LITERALLY WITH ATTITIDE. All of us felt awkward after that, which was really sad since it was supposed to be my friend’s day. If you guys don’t allow bringing cake then should have just told us when we asked to put it in the fridge, and if we ask for plates and utensils then just say that we can’t eat here no need to remind about it WITH ATTITUDE. Would recommend trying another Korean restaurant for a...

I visited this restaurant for the second time with friends. The first visit was a decent experience, so I decided to go back again. I made a reservation for four people a few days before. The hostess/waitress called me back 5 minutes following the reservation to confirm, which struck me as odd since I had just provided all my information during the reservation call.

When we arrived at the restaurant, I informed the waitress about our reservation and provided my name as requested. However, she repeatedly asked for my name despite my repeated responses. She asked me for my name three times and was annoyed, I told her that I have given that information three times already. I do not know why she had to keep asking when clearly she was not listening. I then told her that the fourth person in our reservation wouldn't be joining due to illness, but she mentioned that they don't take reservations for less than four people, despite the empty tables and lack of customers.

When we were ready to order, another waitress reiterated the policy about reservations for less than four people and mentioned that we should have called to update them. Mentioning this to us was unnecessary, we were frustrated and disappointed due to the lack of customer service. Despite the above average food, the poor service makes me hesitant to recommend this place and I definitely won'tbe going back, especially when there are many other great Korean restaurants in Vancouver. I prefer to spend my money...

The food was descent and there isn't anything like this in the Kerrisdale Marpole area, so I was really excited to try it out.

The service was quite bad, maybe they are new with only two people on the floor. My 70 year old mom literally waited inside at the front for a good 5 minutes until she had to say "hello" really loud to be seen. Next, there was no water served, and when we order/food came, I saw a dish that looked extremely spicy and I was shocked to see it as our whole family of four don't eat spicy. I think I literally said to my partner in front of the server, no one eats spicy in the family and I said maybe it was a mistake. The server did nothing despite hearing all of it. Some restaurants would actually take a dish back and maybe say, no problem, we should of told you it's spicy or please order something else to your liking. And then two minutes she came back and said the dish is actually for another table. Very awkward and didn't apologize.

Food was descent and quite yummy.

Then it was the not asking how the food was or refilling the water, or at the end, do you need takeaway containers, or do you need the bill, or let me clean your table for you because I see you guys are celebrating a birthday with photos. None.

This place isn't a cheap korean cafe, so I was expecting a good level of service here. The minimal at least, but I feel like I got way below service for my first time....

This hidden gem in the heart of Kerrisdale stands as the pinnacle of Korean cuisine in town. The warmth and friendliness of the staff enhance the intimate, spotless setting, which hums with the lively energy of satisfied diners—many of whom are Korean, underscoring the authenticity of the experience. Given the restaurant’s popularity, reservations are a must, as the wait can extend up to 45 minutes. However, patience is richly rewarded. Each meal typically includes a comforting bowl of Miso soup, steamed rice, and an assortment of traditional Korean dipping sauces. As a frequent visitor, I can confidently say that their Bulgogi is unrivaled, and their variety of fried chicken is nothing short of perfection. This evening, we ventured into new territory with their Bone Broth, which was accompanied by crispy rice crackers and tender gyoza dumplings—an absolute triumph. The potato croquettes, with their delicate, golden crust and perfectly fluffy interior, were bursting with flavor. And let us not forget the corn cheese, a decadent delight that never fails to impress. This place is a must visit always.

If you have OCD about symmetry don’t sit on the south wall banquette seating because the horizontal symmetry is off on the pendant lights. All the west-side pendants are lower than their middle and east-side counterparts 🥲🫠 2024-06: Came back a second time On a hot day for spicy cold noodles and pork galbi. It was noice. Lights still haven’t been realigned. 🥲 2025-09 Tonkatsu recommended! Some obnoxious Cantonese person was berating her mother the whole time though. The only other party in the restaurant during this late afternoon visit but her voice consumed the whole place even the music couldn’t drown it out. Literally take out containers for everything including the side dishes. Absolutely barbaric and uncultivated behaviour.

First time there based on reviews and it wasn't wrong. From the moment you stepped in and left the restaurant, service and attentiveness from the staff were friendly, welcoming and top-notch. Any company out there should take notes on how to make your customers feel welcomed by learning from these guys. The food was fresh, tasty, prepared professionally and unforgettable in a good way. We ordered the Kimchi tofu soup (spicy but addictive), Bossam (so good and fun to eat) and added the spicy fried chicken and kimch fried rice as a take out. All in all, we were very happy with our meal. I would certainly return back again... This is probably one of Vancouver's hidden neighbourhood gems.
