I came to dine because Phnom Penh was booked full and heard this was the sister restaurant. I entered the restaurant and was greeted by the server. There were 4 or 5 people at the bar, a table of 3 and a table of 2 seated. The friendly manager suggested I sit at a table beside her and the chef because of the view. I sat down and waited for my partner to join 6 minutes later. We then waited another 6 minutes to order while our server was busy talking behind the bar. We ordered wings, butter beef and spring rolls..... Then we received our water. 5 minutes later the server brought a half filled pitcher of water while carrying it by the spout......our butter beef and spring rolls then we're delivered, they were fantastic. I guess our server must have known they were so good because she disappeared for another 12 minutes. She then dropped off our wings saying "here ya go" and that was the last we saw of her until we stood up and went to the bar to pay. I hope the other 2 tables received as good service as we did because she sure did look busy 😑. I do want to say the manager seated beside us was aware of the room and did look to see where the server was when our plates were finished and needed to be cleared but clearly either did not care or is not aware of the poor service standards especially when slow. I wish quality checks sorry I mean A quality check was done. To summarize. Food was bomb, Momo needs guidance and managers need need accountability. Read the...
Read moreDecor needs an update, the tables are worst for wear and sticky. We went after sunset so the dim lighting hid a lot of the interior imperfections. But don’t let the first impression of this hole-in-the-wall scare you off, the food is phenomenal ! Two of the dishes we ordered “they were out of” which was unfortunate but they did have a pitcher of beer for $8. We ordered: papaya salad, garlic butter chicken, black pepper poutine, crispy tofu, mozzarella oyster and mushroom and tomato fried rice. The fried rice wasn’t anything special and the crispy tofu was ok, but the papaya salad is one of the best I’ve had, the fried chicken wings were exceptional - perfectly crispy and seasoned well, the poutine with bits of beef jerky, and the mozzarella oyster and mushroom were very delicious! Our bill split among 4 people was under $17 each, this included the pitcher of beer (3 glasses) - we left feeling sated. Food came out reasonably quick, although this Thursday night was pretty empty. Service was ok. This was my first time but my friend used to go regularly, though not for a while. I would recommend this place for friends to gather and share delicious tapas style dishes. If this was a hipster joint run by pretentious staff, this place would be buzzing purely on the food and hipster dive bar atmosphere, but it’s not, instead it’s a modest, hole-in-the-wall, with great food and young servers who are just trying their best. Read moreWAITED 3 HOURS FOR FOOD!!!!!!!!!
Went on a Friday evening for a friend's birthday dinner. My boyfriend and I ordered together. The waiter wrote down our order and our name. Our friends' food started to arrive. Once everyone's food arrived, a waiter came back and informed the couple in front of us that their order was "missed" and "not punched in." She wrote their name and order. At this point I asked if she could check our order as well. Minutes later she came back and said that both orders for us and the couple in front of us were missed and food was on the way.
One hour later, and most our party has already finished their food, our own orders STILL HAD NOT ARRIVED. After asking the waiter one more time, food came out three minutes later. Food was very normal and FOOD NOT WORTH 3 HOURS OF WAITING.
Overall a VERY TERRIBLE experience. Food was average and definitely NOT WORTH WAITING FOR 3 HOURS. Would NOT recommend coming...
