McDonald's — Restaurant in Vancouver

updated review I am writing to you today because of my "not so happy" experience I had yesterday at my neighborhood McDonald's. My wife and I went to McDonald's yesterday, Monday September 3rd, because we walked by the restaurant window and saw a giant poster advertisement stating drinks are $1. Therefore, we waited in line and when we got to the Cashier/Order Taker we were told the promotion is over. Actually he said, "the promo is just ended" so we decided not to order anything because we weren't satisfied with his answer. He didn't even apologize that they forgot to remove the poster from the window. Terrible service!

I didn't want to make a big deal inside the restaurant because there were other people lining up behind us. According to the Competition Bureau Section 74.05 of the Competition Act is a civil provision. It prohibits the sale or rent of a product at a price higher than its advertised price. The provision does not apply if the advertised price was a mistake and the error was immediately corrected.

Shouldn't the restaurant remove the advertisement from the window if the promotion is over? The Store Manager or Supervisor needs to be more diligent especially when a promotion is over the ad MUST be taken down immediately. This is not the first time that this location is like this. I have the same experience previously but thought it was just one off so I didn't complain the first time.

previous review This location can be busy at times. If it gets busy the line up goes out the door. There are limited seating area upstairs and ground floor have few tables only. I watched a man with visible special needs order 2 apple pies. After he stood to the side waiting for his number to be called. Another man came in and asked for 2 apple pies and ordered a few more things. This second man was then handed food and 2 apple pies The first guy was still standing off to the side patiently waiting. This guy who took his order and gave his pies away then asked what the guy was waiting for. The guy who ordered then replied 2 apple pies. The cashier said ok well we have none left you'll have to wait 12 minutes. I was like what a joke so I went up to speak up for the man who ordered and said I watched you give away that man's pies to another guy now your asking him to wait 12 minutes when he's already been waiting about 10 minutes. The cashier snapped at me said it wasn't his problem and told me to talk to the manager. The manager never came to talk to me and went to the back and ignored both me and the man who placed the order for pies. I addressed the cashier again and said aren't you going to at least say sorry to to him or compensate him. To that the cashier snapped at me again and told me to mind my own business.i told the cashier not to snap at me or ignore me and that he was extremely rude. The guy got nothing but a 12 minute wait. Out of all the Mc Donald’s I have been to in Vancouver. This location Victoria drive was by far the worst. The food was not even hot! I waited more than 10 mins for my quarter pounder meal…while others that went before me and after me all got their food first.

The staff member only cares more of getting their food out for the delivery couriers than caring more for the customers that are waiting for their food.

The burger meat itself smelled weird…. The fries… my goodness the fries! Was the worst out of my entire meal… nothing in my meal was hot to begin with. Fries were not even seasoned properly.. it was hard as a rock… not soggy which I would had been fine. But instead it was hard as a rock.. I literally threw out my entire meal and just drank my soda. Waste of money, and waste of my time!

Definitely do not recommend coming to this location at all. Staff members just huddle together chatting instead of moving around and doing their jobs like other...
