Mr. Shawarma Georgia location — Restaurant in Vancouver

First and foremost, this is one of the best lunch spots to go to in the downtown core, great flavors, great food, and great prices. Not only is the shawarma great, the philly cheese steak and burgers are amazing too. However, there has been some inconsistencies I've seen in the past month or so that got me revaluating. I usually get the burger or cheese steak, but lately the burger patties have been coming very dry and burnt and hard on the both sides. They used to make them fresh and it would be the best patty and soft bun, but the last 2 weeks the bun has been hard and not too soft and the patty has been just burnt and its hard to bite into with a soft dryness in the center. The cheese take needs more sauce too now, its been really dry, and I feel like they've been premaking them now because they do come out quick, especially the burger that used to take 5 to 10 minutes, but it was worth the wait. Now its just hard and I really love the burgers but have been going somewhere...

The food and the pricing is decent. However, I'm giving it 2 stars for poor hygiene and hoping the staff will read this review. Sometimes, the cashier will help prepare the food, such as putting the pickle toppings on the spicy boxes. Unfortunately, they leave their dirty gloves on from their cash register operations to pickup the pickle toppings and put it into the food. They probably think the gloves are to protect their hands from the dirty handling of cash and the saucy food. From a customer point of view, the gloves are for hygienic preparation of the food - so the staff do not touch dirty cash with their hands, then also prepare food with the same dirty hands. Had the pleasure of meeting Ruhi today whom was kind and courteous and provided EXCELLENT customer service in completing our order. Also had a great conversation with Ruhi whilst waiting for our order completion. Very friendly service, very optimistic, and overall a great location.
