We had the pleasure of having Mr. Shawarma’s food truck cater our recent customer appreciation lunch, and they absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the very first conversation to the final bite served, the experience was smooth, professional, and memorable. We had originally estimated about 100 people would attend, but as things go with good weather and word of mouth, the turnout was well over that. Despite the larger crowd, the Mr. Shawarma team handled everything with ease — the line moved quickly, the food never ran out, and the service was consistently warm, friendly, and efficient throughout the entire event. Now to the food — which was the real star. Every guest who had a plate had something great to say. The donairs were packed with flavour, generously portioned, and perfectly balanced. The meat was juicy and seasoned beautifully, and the sauces really brought everything together. Whether it was the chicken, beef, or falafel options, every dish looked and tasted fresh. You could tell that nothing was sitting around — everything was made and served hot, right on the spot. The platters were equally impressive. Not only were they hearty, but they were also well-presented — the kind of meal you’d expect from a sit-down restaurant, not just a truck. You could also taste the quality in the ingredients — everything from the pickled turnips to the garlic sauce tasted fresh and homemade. One thing that stood out to us was the attention to detail. The Mr. Shawarma team brought a clean, professional setup, and they clearly take pride in both their food and their service. It wasn’t just about feeding people — they created a great vibe around the truck, and you could feel that positive energy in how our guests responded. I later checked out their story online and learned they’ve been around since 2009 and are one of the original Middle Eastern food trucks in Vancouver. Their founder, Mahmoud, has over 25 years of culinary experience, and you can genuinely feel that expertise come through in every aspect — from the flavor to the speed of service and presentation. It’s rare to find a catering option that checks every box: delicious food, efficient service, friendly staff, and reliability — but Mr. Shawarma nailed all of it. We received so many compliments from guests, some even asking for the name of the food truck to book for their own events. If you’re planning an event and want food that will impress everyone — whether it’s a corporate gathering, party, or community event — I can’t recommend Mr. Shawarma enough. We’ll definitely be booking them again.

There is apparently 3 locations but I visited the one by Durrand Station. I was tired and hungry...wanted something comfy besides fancy restaurants nearby. I found this chip wagon in the middle of the city. I kid you not ...its a hidden gem. Its some seriously good food and Im a very selective eater and critique. So when I tried a steak sandwich while my friends tried the platters. It was mouth wateringly delicious. The dude made a mistake and gave us chicken and when realized...he shoved some steak ontop of chicken and we gladly took it. So i got to taste the chicken too. The very next day we drove there again earlier cuz they were out of burgers the night before since we were late. This time i tried steak again...while my friends tried a burger. Again it was irresistable...i dont know how quick i devoured it. I should have got 2 later i realized. Prices were very economically legit based on the fact its BC. There were line ups...plus the service was quick. A must try in my honest opinion.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve ordered both the falafel wrap and the chicken shawarma wrap from Mr. Shawarma at Burrard Station multiple times and I’m consistently impressed. Their Falafel Wrap, made in-house with ground chickpeas, herbs, veggies, and spices, always delivers a flavorful, crispy experience. I love the extra crunch of the warm potato fries nestled inside it elevates the texture and tastes perfectly.

Their Chicken Shawarma Wrap is equally fantastic. The chicken is marinated in a special blend of herbs and spices, grilled fresh, and combined with crisp pita, diced tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, parsley and yes, those fries again! The signature garlic and tahini sauces bring everything together in a creamy, irresistible bite.

The food is made daily from scratch in their certified kitchen, using local ingredients clearly reflected in every fresh and delicious wrap. The team is always friendly and efficient, even during peak hours, and the line moves quickly; usually less than five minutes from order to pickup

I wholeheartedly agree; these wraps are some of the best Middle Eastern street food in Vancouver.

Why I Recommend Mr. Shawarma:

• Freshness & quality: Everything’s made daily, with halal meats and premium ingredients

• Flavorful combos: The mix of juicy meat/falafel, crisp veggies, creamy garlic & tahini, and French fries is addicting

• Fast & friendly: Staff are pleasant, and service is quick—even during busy periods

• Great value: Under-$10 wraps packed with quality ingredients and satisfying portions.

For anyone craving a tasty, satisfying falafel or chicken shawarma wrap near Burrard Station, I highly recommend giving...
