Retreat Spa at Hyatt Regency Vancouver — Local services in Vancouver

My girlfriends and I went to Retreat for a girls weekend and booked massages and pedicures. The staff were lovely and welcoming, and my massage was absolutely fantastic! Definitely one of the highlights of the day.

During the pedicures, it was nice to all be scheduled together so we could chat, but the space was quite tight, which seemed to make it challenging for the technicians. While that wasn’t a big issue, I did notice a few inconsistencies that made the experience feel a bit uneven.

For example, everyone else in my group received warm neck pillows during their pedicures. However, a couple of us were not offered this. My pedicure also ended quite a bit earlier than the others and didn’t include some of the elements they received, like a leg massage or callus removal. When I leave a pedicure I expect my feet to be even slightly more smooth than when I went in, but due to not having any part of the bottom of my feet taken care of, there was no improvement. The technician was kind, but due to the cramped space, I think she had a hard time moving around, so I am not sure if that is why my service was cut short.

Another small detail, some of my friends were given tools like nail files to take home, but not everyone got the same package. Again, not a big deal, but it did add to the sense that things weren’t totally consistent across the board.

Overall, my massage was great, but I feel like I paid for a pedicure and received only about 40% of that service, which is disappointing. I wish they had of been up and told us they could not accommodate that many pedicures instead of having some of us leave their beautiful spa feeling...

Today my husband and i had the pleasure of visiting retreat Spa at hyatt regency downtown vancouver for a much-needed relaxation session, and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming staff who made me feel right at home. The ambiance of the spa was serene and peaceful, creating the perfect atmosphere for a day of pampering.

We opted for a full-body massage and brightening facial treatment, and both services were exceptional. The massage therapist was highly skilled and attentive to my specific needs, providing a customized experience that left me feeling rejuvenated and stress-free. The facial treatment was equally impressive, with high-quality products and techniques that left my skin glowing and refreshed.

The facilities at retreat Spa were immaculate, with clean and well-maintained treatment rooms that added to the overall luxurious experience. The staff members (Zachary for me and Banny for my husband) were friendly, knowledgeable and professional, ensuring that every aspect of our visit was seamless and enjoyable.

Overall, my experience at retreat Spa was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of top-notch services, a peaceful atmosphere, and friendly staff made it a spa day to remember. I highly recommend retreat Spa to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I will definitely be returning for more pampering in. What an AMAZING experience! From the moment we walked in the door from the parkade, Riona took incredible care of us, offering tea/drinks, a snack, and a heated pad that smelled like heaven to relax from our stressful drive.

We booked massages with Carolyn, and never having been to Retreat before, we didn't know what to expect. Located just outside the busy bustling hotel, Retreat is an oasis of calm, relaxation and the nicest staff. Warm towels and the most comfortable massage bed I have ever laid on just added to the experience. Carolyn, my RMT, had the most intuitive touch I have EVER experienced. Inspite of all my weird medical challenges and total hearing loss from COVID, she made sure to communicate clearly, and really worked the areas of concern to me. I have had many massage treatments all over the world in the last 30 years, and I can say with complete honesty, that was the very best treatment I have EVER had. I have no words to express my appreciation or gratitude to Carolyn or Riona... and the gorgeous dome cake, to celebrate my discharge from hospital was so thoughtful and so DELICIOUS.
