Came to Please Beverage Co with some friends to try their colourful and unique flavoured cocktails! Their drinks come with a dried fruit garnish which you can either eat or toss into the drink. There’s plenty of seating and the decorations give bright tropical/summery vibes. Service was phenomenal. Our water cups were always promptly refilled. The staff quickly took our orders once we were seated and we didn’t need to wait too long to get our food and drinks.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the Green Tea Fizz as it was too bitter for my liking. Mango Sticky Rice was easier to drink. It reminded me of a Piña colada, I thought the coconut taste covered the subtle flavours of mango in the Mango Sticky Rice drink. For non alcoholic drinks, the ginger strawberry drink was super refreshing!
Food options were limited as they only offered snack dips, salads, and wraps catered by JamJar. We got the “Have It All” dip platter to try the hummus, spinach dip, roasted red pepper dip, and zaatar labneh (a yogurt based dip) with complementary pita chips. They gave us unlimited/refillable chips to finish the dips. The pita chips were extra crispy. My favourite dip was the original hummus!
🍴: Combo of all dips (Have It All), Lebanese flatbread wraps (The Dirty & Sweetie) 🍹: Mango Sticky Rice, Green Tea Fizz, Garden Social, Ginger Strawberry (non-alcoholic) 📍: Please Beverage Co. with food from JamJar
TLDR: Food tasted good but options are limited as they’re more like snacks/tapas to go with the drinks. Drinks...
Read moreI have come here a couple times because, as many others have mentioned, the ambiance and location is good. The food and service are decent as well. The daytime business, Prototype, has some of the best coffee in the city.
Unfortunately, both times I have been quite disappointed by the cocktails. The flavours and presentation are well done, but the alcohol content is nowhere near what is advertised.
Both visits I have purposefully gotten different drinks over 6% ABV (6.5% and 6.9%) for bang for buck, and both beverages would have been no more than 3-4%, tops. Disappointing for the price point and felt misleading.
The flavour of alcohol itself was near undetectable (which I at first thought was kudos to them for having a stellar product), but as I finished my drink in half an hour and remained stone-cold sober, it became apparent their mixing is not as advertised.
Still worth a stop if you either don’t like the effects of alcohol, opt for a beer, or just want a place to hang with friends. But if you’re looking to enjoy a few drinks and a buzz, go...
Read moreOne of my go to places for both daytime coffee and evening drinks. Please! Beverage Co. and Prototype Coffee share a beautifully open, industrial-modern space that’s flexible, bright, and well thought out. In the evening, Please! transforms it into a tasting room with a casual, social energy, serving up creative bottled cocktails in a space that feels both polished and approachable. Earlier in the day, Prototype brings a quieter vibe, perfect for working, reading, or meeting friends. There’s a great mix of seating, from big communal tables to smaller cozy corners, and the natural light and clean design make it feel calm and spacious. The coffee is always well-made, the food is on point, and there’s a quiet sense of experimentation in everything they do that keeps it interesting. Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee, hanging out for a few hours, or winding down with drinks in the evening, the space adapts easily. It’s that rare kind of place that feels intentionally designed without trying too hard, creative, relaxed, and...
