Starbucks — Restaurant in Vancouver

On 26 July 2025 at approximately 4:30 p.m., I had a disappointing experience at this Starbucks location within the Loblaws Market on Arbutus Street. I ordered a beverage that I purchase several times a week from various Starbucks locations, including this one. On this occasion, however, the drink was cold upon receipt.

When I brought this to the attention of the staff member on duty, she stated that her manager had prepared it and that she was unsure of the reason. She offered to add hot water after removing some of the drink, which she did—but it remained cold. When I pointed this out, she attributed the issue to the number of creamers I had requested. I explained that I always order this drink in the same way and have never encountered this issue previously.

Her final response was, “We can’t do anything about it,” which I found dismissive and unhelpful. I requested a refund, which she processed—but only for the base amount, excluding tax.

This level of service falls well below the standard I have come to expect from Starbucks. I am not writing this review over a single imperfect beverage, but rather to highlight the need for staff training in basic customer service and...

It’s great to have a convenient Starbucks in the neighbourhood! The store is super clean and staff are extremely friendly.

There’s a separate entry off of 15th Avenue or you can access through the grocery store. Although cozy, there’s still plenty of Starbucks beans and swag for sale. Seating available inside and fully covered seating outside as well!
