My girlfriend and I visited for the first time this weekend, intending to pick up 20 lbs of peaches to make jam. Our plans were dashed, however, when we saw the prices which were, in a word, unexpected. We were not going to pay nearly $120 for peaches, which is what it would have cost us. After some hunting, we did find a couple vendors with reasonable prices for a few items, and the quality was often exceptional. We bought some nice beets, and a bunch of green onions for $4 with bulbs as thick as my thumb – the nicest I've ever seen. The one cherry vendor with fair prices was sold out by the time we arrived, so I'd encourage others to do what we'll do next week – get there early for the small handful of fair deals. I'd visited the market regularly a few years back when it was a much smaller affair along a nearby sidewalk, and the prices were fair for outstanding veggies. I'll continue to support local and buy BC fruits and veggies, but that can be done far more sensibly elsewhere. As a final note, I was thankful to see a small appliance recycling drop-off at the market, which is there the 3rd Sunday of each month.

4.5 stars ⭐ A fun, neighborhood farmers market held in Connaught Park, in the Kitsilano neighborhood, in Vancouver, B.C. On Sundays from 10 - 2 from May through October. A few food trucks and some food vendors (gourmet frozen popsicles, coffee, grilled cheese, vegan bowls, etc.). About 25 - 30 vendors total. Great selection of local, fresh vegetables and fruit. Speciality food items, wine, beer, baked goods, drinks, and artisan vendors. Limited parking and some street parking in residential neighborhood, but check signs if resident permit is required. Worth a walk from the Seawall or nearby areas.

My favourite market in all of Vancouver. I love the atmosphere, real people, real farmers, real food, real community. Food is expensive now, but you can find really amazing produce for good prices here. Nothing goes to waste. I love the tips and ideas you can puck up from the farmers and the customers. Best garlic, herbs, root vegetables, everything! And then there is Stapleton sausages, amazing. Most of the same farmers will be at Riley park winter market, but Kitsilano is just special.

So the market is on 10th ave at Kits Community Centre (Connaught Park) on Sundays and has a senior/health compromised shop time from 10 till 1030am. It closes at 2pm. There are so many vendors from multiple veggie and fruit farmers, sweet and savory pies and bread bakers, organic meats and sausages makers, honeybee, jams and cooking sauces and many other specialty vendors. Free to get in, at the entrance they offer a free shopping bag if you forget to bring one. They require that you line up, but the line goes fast and its ok to chat with other folks while your waiting. A friendly atmosphere! Even though it's limited numbers while shopping a mask is recommended. Vendors have electronic payment systems so no need to bring cash. Limited parking in community centre lot....
