Terrible experience. We expected more, given the exterior. Once inside, it was loud, busy, had about 8 TV screens on showing the same hockey game. No hostess. It's seat yourself. We did, and waited at least 25 minutes, no waitress ever coming over to our table. Completely ignored. The one working our area never looked around, so we couldn't even get her attention. Clueless or in a bad mood. Either way - no good, no excuse.

The second waitress, we got her attention. She apologized, said she'd tell our server. Nothing happened. 5 or so minutes later, we left.

The bartender is cool, nice (longer hair, casual guy.) Management is terrible. Wait staff should be fired. (Also, they should have a dress code, something at minimum to set them apart from clientele.)

Menu is small and basic. Wasn't excited about ordering anyway.

Good interior, tall ceilings, dimly lit which we like, lots of wood, good for a hockey fan. There is [one?] pool table in the back.

Other than that, I would not recommend this...

We came in on Good Friday and it was relatively empty, maybe 5 or 6 tables; we sat where we wanted to. A couple minutes after we sat down a server came over with menus and informed us that she’s not our server, but someone would be right with us. Two minutes later, our actual server walked by and stopped because she saw we wanted to order and asked if we’d been served yet. We ordered our drinks and food right away. Both came in good time and were both great, however, while waiting for the food, someone came and took away the cutlery from the table without saying anything. There were only two waitresses and neither of them could have cared less that we were sitting there. On top of that, a table sat down beside us and were informed of the specials, were offered water, and received drinks before we were even offered a refill. We were seriously disappointed with...

Drinks and food are overpriced but so is everything else in this godforsaken city. Came for the black lagoon and was not disappointed. That server Chelsea might just be the most friendly human being in our observable universe. Jokes aside, I worked in this industry for 6 years (2 of those years as a floor manager), I'm fully aware of how stressful the job is, always overworked and underpaid. I've worked with a very small handful of people who're able to consistently maintain their composure and positive attitude on busy nights the way she was able to. The place was swamped with customers, I even noticed a bartender get a little irritated but the server remained professional, welcoming and even apologetic for certain other people's mistakes she had no part of. Whatever she's getting paid, it isn't enough. Will be returning with a few...

Came here when I was hungover one Saturday afternoon to make sure I could still handle my alcohol and was not disappointed. The lovely hostess knew exactly what I was looking for. They made me a girly looking cocktail but made no effort to hide the booze, which screamed "this guy's in his 30s and he's a wuss who cant drink anymore" to the outside world, but we all knew the dark truth. The second drink screamed "why did you leave me Linda!?" but that may just have been me and not the drink. Five stars + a wink and a smile.

This place is great for the atmosphere. Their food is decent even though it's gone for a bit of a change from English pub to Asian. Still can get a English Breaky though. Thank you for keeping that. Portion sizes have shrunk. Being a member use to give you discounts on drinks; Not anymore. Being a member gave you VIP entry; Not anymore. So only because it's lost some of it's originality, it's food portions, it's exclusive club benefits reductions.. 4/5 Poutine was good but skimpy on the toppings for $16+

Decided to try this place for wing day, they were out of wings, then miraculously they had wings, but only two flavours. I tried both and ordered a hot sauce on the side, the salt and pepper wings were more salt and pepper than wing, was hard to eat, the service was good though, pleasant waitresses and attentive. I’ll try it again to make sure it wasn’t a one off day as is fair, will update if it gets better. Huge TV for sports though, great to watch the game and drink beer id assume
