Last night, we celebrated my sister's birthday with a large group of 22 people, and Patrick was our server for the evening. Let me start by saying that this was hands-down the best service we’ve ever experienced for such a big party. Patrick was phenomenal from start to finish, and his professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness made the night absolutely unforgettable.

Managing a party of this size is not easy, but Patrick handled it flawlessly. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us warmly and ensured that every detail of our evening was carefully planned. Drinks were taken and delivered quickly, appetizers were perfectly timed, and not once did anyone have to ask for a refill or wonder where their order was. He was so organized and made it all look effortless, which is no small task with 22 people at one table!

Patrick went above and beyond to make sure my sister’s birthday was extra special. Not only did he remember everyone's orders without hesitation but he also had the foresight to ask if we needed anything to make the celebration more personal, like candles. He even coordinated with the kitchen to ensure my sister’s birthday cake came out at the perfect moment with everyone singing along. Even when my sisters friends put cake on her face, he was there to give her napkins😭😭 His attention to detail was truly remarkable.

What stood out most was Patrick’s attitude. He was warm, friendly, and incredibly patient throughout the entire night. He made everyone at the table feel welcomed and important, always checking in with a smile and a cheerful manner.

It’s rare to find a server who can manage such a large group while making everyone feel like they’re receiving five-star treatment. Patrick created a seamless, stress-free dining experience for us, allowing us to focus entirely on celebrating and enjoying the night. He was the ultimate professional and left a lasting impression on every single one of us. We love you PATRICK!!

If you’re ever lucky enough to have Patrick as your server, know that you’re in excellent hands. Thank you, Patrick, for turning my sister’s birthday into such a magical and memorable evening. We will be talking about this night and Patrick’s incredible service, for a long time to come!

Highly, highly recommend. GIVE...

A fire alarm went off during our time there and ran for at least 15 minutes. There was no communication from the staff about what was going on or what we should do. We weren’t sure if our safety was at risk. Not only was there no communication from staff, but it didn’t appear that anyone was doing anything to turn the alarm off. [UPDATE: I had contacted the restaurant about these concerns and the response from their GM seemed insincere and ignored the point. I subsequently contacted the Vancouver Fire Department who confirmed that the restaurant should have evacuated the room. I'm left wondering if a restaurant doesn't follow fire and life safety procedures, what other procedures are they ignoring.] The room was noisy even without the fire alarm. Too loud, and bad sound (at one point I asked my wife if the same song had been playing the whole time we were there - all that could be heard was the disco beat of the bass drum and the high hat). The disco ball and indoor heat lamps created more visual distraction and an uncomfortable temperature. Lots of servers on the floor, but none of them paying attention and being helpful. We had to wave at them to get their attention to order and again later to get our bill. One of them had noticeably strong BO that overpowered the smoky smell from the grill that presumably set off the fire alarm. The arrival area is narrow and poorly laid out such that there’s nowhere to go once you step out of the elevator. You walk into the people in front of you who also don’t have a place to move to. The host staff need to direct guests immediately to avoid a logjam. “Welcome, do you have a reservation, can I take your coat?” That kind of thing. The fresh made pita are excellent and we enjoyed the babaganoush. The hummus was average. Our mains were ok but nothing special, and over salted. The drinks were small pours and not particularly interesting. Advertising it as a sky bar when literally every other building around it is taller is really a stretch. If you like looking through windows of office buildings, the view from Lavantine will take your...

✨️✨️✨️😎Update: 7/28/2025 -- We had a great time here with a group over 10... great service and some sumptuous food options (lamb chops, watermelon credo 🌈🍉✨️-- lots of vegetarian-friendly and veg-forward options, btw.) The staff here were so awesome and professional that the cake was a genuine surprise for our lovely birthday girl, Shalz! Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻💕

I came here Valentines Day this year with some friends and had a great first impression here. Even on the busy holiday with a full restaurant, i was still able to get a place at the bar and eventually a real table when my party showed up 30m later.

Yesterday, i decided to give the happy hour here another try. It's a really pretty restaurant, and the patio is nice. The food presentation itself is spectacular. We kept eyeballing the other dishes en route to the neighboring tables around us. Some really beautiful plating on their dishes.

We really enjoyed the green falafel (pro tip- it is excellent to pair with the lentil soup and dip... i found myself trying to get multiple pieces out of the same small bite for more).

The Watermelon crudo with whipped feta is one of the most clever and refreshing dishes ive had recently... would be ideal for a hot summer day on the patio.

All in all, this was a great experience with one small caveat. I was able to make a reservation on a Monday (wasnt sure if you were open, should have trusted Google and it defaulted to Tuesday. We ended up showing up Monday and they were closed --- i know a lot of restaurants are btw, however, something should have notified me in your system that the soonest available table would have been the next day. We ended up going to a neighboring establishment... this was confusing and sad. Spoke to the manager twice and no apology/concern (Stanley Tucci-looking dude--- this really missed the mark for me --- this took the service score down 2 stars even though our...

Really nice rooftop bar in downtown Vancouver. Not many of these around in Vancouver and we visited around sunset hour. The ambience was nice, food was really good and service was top notch. I’ve been here for HH before and came back recently for dinner. All in all a good experience. Definitely on the more expensive side so keep that in mind.
