Now I am not surprised why this location has the worst customer service and why the staff look like they don't even want to be at work. You as the owner couldn't even take the time to properly read and address my complaint. Please carefully read this as well as the comment below before you respond. I double-checked the location on Google maps before I posted my complaint and confirmed I went to the DQ at Ansley Grove Road and Hwy 7 last night. Just to reiterate, I stated that I always had a great experience previously at the DQ in Markham and that is why I was surprised that I received the opposite experience at the DQ on Ansley Grove Road and Hwy 7. The rest is below. And also if you send secret shoppers to your DQ store, it will confirm everything I stated below about the staff here to be true.
I don't go out of my way to write a negative review unless the experience is extremely poor. I just moved to Concord from Markham. I have nothing but praises to say about the DQ on Main Street and Hwy 7 as I always had a great experience. That is why I was quite shocked and extremely disappointed to receive the complete opposite experience at this location. DQ needs to rehire and/or retrain their staff as I have been at this location so many times and consistently received poor service. The staff look miserable and look like they don't want to be at work every time I have order inside or at the drive-thru. On multiple occasions, I have paid for extra toppings and gone home to find they did not add it on. The staff got my order wrong and did not look happy to remake it tonight. I assume because this location makes so much business, the management and staff could care less about providing proper customer service. This location is near my home and that is why I have given them so many chances but tonight was the last straw. Read moreThis review should be written awhile ago but our family finally revisited this location again after we have had such bad experiences. We often visit this location on the weekend, one of the older lady she’s constantly sitting down and always on the phone. It doesn’t matter if you have one customer in the store or a few, she will ask someone to help the customer meanwhile she’s sitting down. This woman even refused to write on cake because of pandemic. Yet, when we’d visited this same location on weekday the staff would write on cake.
Bough a cake on Friday just before Mother’s day weekend. this location is BUSYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!! The manager is soooooo nice to us, he carefully explained that for customized cake order needs 48hrs. But, he said he will ask the cake decorator if could help us out. The came out about 5 min later and said, if we could place an order for late afternoon pick up, the cake will be ready just because they have spare cakes ready. OH MY the cake was beautifully decorated. We’ve never seen how fast these daytime staff works, they were all over the place because drive-thru was super busy. Not sure how these staff were able to work as fast as they did with their mask on.
Someone had told me not to go to this location because they don’t keep their social distancing, how? Most fast-food drive thru area is so small, you could see from the front. Read moreI placed an order online for a custom cake on 10/21/24. Prior to placing this order, I called their location twice to ask questions about custom ordering a cake. Two of their colleagues answered all my questions without difficulties over the phone. I did not feel rushed any of the times I called.
The custom order was for a special occasion. I had a specific design in mind and I wanted it to be perfect. When placing the order online, I uploaded a picture of the design that I created. I was told the cake would take 2-3 days. After placing the order, Tammie (one of the cake decorators) phoned to confirm my request two days later. She had a question about my design and wanted to clarify what I wanted done. Tammie did an excellent job with re-creating the vision I wanted.
If it weren't for Tammie calling me to confirm the design I wanted, the cake would not have turned out amazing as it did. I wanted a personal message with a custom photo. I think on the DQ website, you can't upload a custom image unless it's for an edible image topper (I didn't want this edible topping). I can see this system limitation causing issues in the future for other customers. I hope this is something that DQ head office will fix in the future.
