We’ve been coming to this place to years and have been recommending it to so many people we know to come here for the food. But not again, not after tonight’s experience. Believe it when you read the reviews about their horrible customer service at this place.
So, we took our friends to this place tonight and was telling them how much we love the food here and it’s the best in Vaughan. We made a reservation initially for 6:30, but called back to change it to 6 and the lady over the phone assured me that it was fine. We came at 6 and stood at the door to wait for someone to greet us for 10 mins while the staff stood at the bar and look on. Its fine, they were probably busy and had to take a quick break.
When this guy to the front, he said our reservation was at 6:30, but the table would be ready in 10mins, so we didn’t bother correcting him, since it wasn’t a big deal.
When we sat down, we wanted to order for the kids before we get some hangry toddlers that will cause a scene. But since no one came to our table, I flagged a lady that wasn’t friendly at all, to put in the order. She told me to talk to the “guys”, she’s not our sever. Okay, then I waved at the guy at the bar to place an order. He walked over and proceed to yell at us for wanting to place our order at the table before our initial “sitting time”, and told us we were “lucky” that he had sat us down. We were in shock when he said that, but didn’t want to cause a scene in front of the children and scared them.
It wasn’t our fault that the lady that took the call didn’t revise our time on their end (again, not her fault either, mistakes happen)
Even if we had came early, does a customer deserve to be yell at in public for wanting to place an order 12 mins before their sitting time while at the table? If you don’t want to be a waiter, then don’t work. No body is forcing you to work.
The owner’s son was right there and saw what happened. He was kind enough to come over and took our order. It’s sad that a long running family business gets ruined by a few bad servers there.
If I can give them ZERO for customer service, I would. But it wouldn’t be fair to the other servers that were kind there for the amount of times...
Read moreI celebrated my 23rd birthday dinner here tonight. Not gonna lie, the food was really good. I came here because my grandparents wanted to. The food was very good and beyond my expectations. I will give this establishment credit where credit is due.
However, the service at this restaurant is beyond horrible. The manager made my family and I wait at the door for approximately 10 minutes before we were seated. He was quite rude and just gestured us over with a wave to our table which was right beside his “desk” where he sat practically all night and stared at us. It was very evident that he was getting extremely angry because we were sitting there and taking up a table, when in reality, there were no customers at the door. He kept on looking at us and his staff kept on looking at us like we were a quick buck and that they “needed” our table, when in reality the restaurant was completely empty.
The manager is evidently very rude and not courteous when it comes to his customers and the experience that they have while dining at his restaurant. I understand that they have a lot of customers and that there are many people that walk in and out of that place, but that does not mean that a customer should be made to feel uncomfortable up until the point that they leave, which is what I experienced tonight. My grandparents were becoming uncomfortable when we were talking towards the end of the night instead of enjoying their time with me, because the manager kept on looking at our table like we were a waste of space and that table could have been used for something else.
Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant. I found the manager to be rude and unprofessional in his place of work, and the servers were very lazy and seemed like they did not want to be there. Also, the way the manager talked to the young men that he had working for him was very surprising and...
Read moreI celebrated my son's first communion at this place and let me just say the food was absolutely disgusting. For one I did not get what I ordered the mushroom risotto was just boiled mushy rice absolutely NO flavor a table of 10 received 1 small bowl in the center of the table for everyone to share, the pasta was supposed to be fresh pomodoro with basil there was no basil the sauce was raw it tasted like ketchup absolutely disgusting the service was horrible anytime we asked our server for something or complained about something she gave complete attitude 3 of my guests got sick. I paid the bill but I was planning to call in the next day which I did to let the owner know how upset I was with the food and service and all they kept saying to me was how they had 3 other parties that day and no one complained I said to them repeatedly I don't care about the other parties I'm saying my party was not good. Regarding the pasta sauce telling me they had run out of basil not my fault. We have been celebrating events at this place for many many years eg. My mother got married there, I had my baby shower there my sister in law had her baby shower there, we celebrated my grandparents 50th anniversary there and for me to be treated the way I was afterwards was disappointing having them yell at me on the phone waiting almost a week to speak with the right person. Take my advise people if you have an event to celebrate Stat clear of this place you will waste your money and you will be disappointed. Trust me I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else that's why I'm writing this review. I give this place a 0 out 5 star rating. NEVER...
