Eggsmart — Restaurant in Vaughan

I've been with my family twice here, first time around their grand opening, second time around last October. Both experiences were good but left desiring for more. On a positive note, the staff serving are very friendly and it's clear that the owners/management care about this space. The menu offers a wide variety but we found that our choices (pancakes, eggs, omelets) didn't taste anything special - not bland, but nothing memorable.

On our last stay, we felt like we were waiting an exceptionally long time for our food (~1 hour) even though the restaurant was at half-capacity, which is a bit surprising for breakfast foods. Finally, there was an awkward moment with the server when we were served pancakes. Upon requesting butter to use for the pancakes, the server came back after a few minutes with a small container of butter, but there were many speckles of brown covered throughout it. When I asked if we could get something fresher, we were instead informed by the server that this was used for buttering toast. While I assumed this was the case, I was a bit surprised that we were given an explanation rather than having it changed out (I asked again and the server went back to change it with fresher butter).

Overall, happy to have tried it but not sure we will be going back here anytime, especially with three other breakfast places...

Not impressed with my experience here. We came on a Saturday and it wasn’t too busy. We were seated down and it took well over 20 minutes before we got our order taken. We asked a few waiters a couple of times and they were all saying that they were waiting for our table to be assigned to a waiter. Until a nice young guy took initiative and helped us out.

Another 30 minutes go by after ordering our food, we had to ask to get utensils. The coffee also took a while.

Overall, what really made us mad was the sausage was raw (look at the photo). You dont need to be a chef to see that it is raw. Unfortunately we ate half of it already and did not feel good afterwards. We complained and only got a $5 discount which was stating that they didn’t really care. We didn’t even finish our meals since we were grossed out.

This doesn’t help when we see the owner wearing a colorful shirt in the back eating his food and crossing his arms watching his employees struggling. Step in and handle this problem.

At the end, a guy in a blue shirt claiming he was from head office spoke with me. Said this will never happen again but damage was already done. It’s just crazy to think that them trying to refund me $5 will solve this...

Was here once and probably won't be back for a while. It took us close to an hour after ordering to get our food, and when we did the food was wrong.

There were a lot of agitated customers for the same issues, and a lot of them like we did just ate what we were given because we had waited for so long at that point.

We were given a coffee carafe once which was only half full, and then never another one.

The food itself was good, but not good enough to balance out the negative experience of everything else, unfortunately. I know it's a new location but I can't really recommend going here right now. Try Good Morning Friends or Cora's until this place...
