You'd figure that without a drive thru there would be ample staff to serve the morning rush. Nope. And let's say all hands were on deck, you wouldn't know it as any sense of urgency was lost among the slow moving staff. A lot of frustrated faces at this location. How is it that I was 3rd in the regular line up (which at the time, stretched from the counter to the back window, a testament to their inefficiency) and beat the guy who was first in the so called "express line"? What a joke. Here's the icing on the cake (at least for me). They NEVER have large size dome lids at this location! I hate the flat non-spill proof lids. They spill even when nothing is going on! Had I never found out about dome lids and that you could request them (even though they were originally introduced for lattes but can be used/requested for all coffees) I would have stopped buying Tim Horton's coffee a long time ago. So instead of getting my large coffee with a dome lid, I had to get a large with a flat lid and ration the contents into a medium cup where that size dome lid was available. Pfft! I like Tim Horton's coffee, a lot, but seriously folks, when will they get with f'n program already and offer dome lids as a standard like Starbucks and McD's? There was talk about it, but it hasn't come to fruition. Might be too little too late as loyal customers continue to allocate funds meant for food and beverages to cleaning coffee stains out of their vehicles. The rewards program has been a nice addition which will definitely help maintain a loyal customer base but even still, convenience overrides freebies. Read moreI was there for about an hour waiting for my husband to finish at his appointment. I got my food quickly but there is a beverage express line up which I’ve never seen in a Tim’s or anywhere. There were lots of people in both lineups and one man started to yell at the man in the express saying that he didn’t wait his turn. The man explained I’m in the express line for a coffee but the other man still went on his rant. There were 5 or 6 people all working and didn’t say anything to settle the argument. One man was dressed differently with a black shirt so he must be a manager. I think that if I’m in line for something the last thing I want is to be yelled at from a stranger and no employee stick up for me. I went to the bathroom when I got there at the handicapped bathroom had no paper and it was all dirty. I went into the other one and it was ok and there was some paper. The soap dispenser was empty as well. While I’m having my coffee the lady is cleaning the bathroom so I went in before I left. The bathrooms were clean but the toilets were all wet and the paper dispenser was all wet. I went to use the soap dispenser and only got a little bit of soap and when I tried to get more nothing came out so I don’t know if it’s broken or she didn’t refill it. The self serve machines only took physical card payments, not sure why but usually I'm able to use apple pay but I didn't have my wallet on me. The store was empty anyway so I went up to the cash counter waiting for somebody to take my order.
There were 2 female workers and 1 male worker standing in front of the cash register indulging in conversation and laughing while I'm standing there waiting to be served.
They all saw me standing there waiting to be served but chose to ignore me especially the male worker, he was leaning against the counter behind him, looked me right in the eye and ignored me for a few minutes as he was finishing his conversation with the other 2 female before he took my order. He was also watching a youtube video on a tablet while chatting away with the other workers.
Terrible customer service knowing I have to wait for the workers to finish their conversation before getting served. People including myself have places to be I don't have time to stand there and until the employees are done yapping.
