Good price but food is not delicious. First time trying out this place since the rating is 4/5 stars on Google reviews and we were around the area. Price for Friday nights: $27.99 + tax, but if pay by cash then you get 15% off. So for a AYCE sushi restaurant on a Friday night, it is a good deal. Note that for drinks (e.g. pop) you need to pay extra. We were there at 7:15pm, and there was no wait time. Abundant parking spots. Service: Staff are nice. However we have several missed orders. We placed our 1st order then quite quickly we got our "sashimi" and "appertizer" items. However, after 25 mins in, we still didnt get our "salad & soup" items so we asked and they came right after. Then we noticed they still haven't given us the "sushi/roll" items, and after we asked for them then the food came ~5 mins. At the end, still missed some of the "kitchen" items. So far, this is the restaurant which the most missed items. Food: fried items should be avoided (e.g. tempura), have quite a bit of grease. I always order same food in different restaurant, but at Ginza they didnt make them good. For their special rolls (e.g. black/green dragon rolls), the internal is basically only a fluffy nom-crispy shrimp tempura and some avocado, so when you put it inside your mouth, just all mash together. Again, I always order the same rolls in other restaurant and they do not taste/feel like that. Also some food when they got served on our table, it looked very different than the photo, see attached for an example of the seafood soup. I can understand much less ingredients than what is shown in the photo, but even the soup base is clear instead of red. Another example is the spicy crab meat hand roll (didnt take photo) The avocado salad was good. Red bean ice cream was good (the one with actual read bean). Overall, I will not go back again, although the price is good.

We walked in at about 9PM on Wednesday night, no greetings from the waiting staff. There were 2 girls working at that time. They just looked at us like we were aliens descending from the sky without saying anything to us. So I went ahead and asked for a table for 2. The girl just tossed her chin to the table closest to her and said: "You can sit here." The girls' chins were so high up, it felt like they were looking down on us, like we were there to beg for food. Honestly, my boyfriend was hyped up about this restaurant, so I was really looking forward to it and kinda excited when I walked in. But the waiting staff's attitude just killed it for me. Then we were seated and she asked in the quietest voice possible: "AYCE or regular?" At that point, I'm ready to walk out. But my bf was more positive and was hopeful that the food might be delicious enough to turn this experience around. The food was just OK. We had the sashimi, spicy teppanyaki chicken and coconut shrimps. I couldn't finish 1 shrimp because it was so oily, the sashimi was OK, tuna was a bit fishy. But the chicken was actually very nice. Throughout our dinner, waiting staff didn't even check on us once, no "hello's", no "thank you's", not even a slightest bit of manner. We would thank them every time they brought the food out, but no response from them. They literally just put the food down then walked away, without saying a word. We asked for the bill and they just left us with the machine and, as usual, walked away without saying a word. Mind you, the restaurant was empty at the time. There were only us and 1 other table of 4, and there were 2 waiting staff. So they couldn't have been so busy that they couldn't wait on us. I understand it was 9PM, maybe they were tired after a long day. But still, it was no way to treat customers. So I'm never coming back here.

This place just isn’t the same as it was a few years ago when I first came here. Unfortunately, the service really missed the mark this time. Our waiter barely checked in on us—I didn’t have water for most of the time we were there, and it was never refilled. For an all-you-can-eat spot, they give you an iPad to place your order, which is fine, but the food took forever to come out. We were intentionally ordering in smaller portions to space things out, but nothing was arriving. It wasn’t even busy, so it was strange. We were on a time limit and had to leave within the hour, but after waiting quite a while, I had to ask the server what was going on. She made it seem like we were being impatient, but after speaking to the kitchen, it turned out they hadn’t even started preparing our food—they hadn’t noticed the order on the screen for the past 20 minutes. When the food did finally come, it was underwhelming. The sushi just wasn’t great and definitely not the same quality it used to be. And to top it all off, both my brother and I got very sick that night. We had terrible stomach aches and what felt like mild food poisoning. Overall, this was a big letdown and not the same place I remember. I won’t be returning.

I have been going to Ginza for more years than I can count. I often recommend it to others when looking for good sushi places in town. This restaurant used to be amazing, but sadly, their level of service and quality of food has drastically decreased.

I went for dinner a few weeks ago and I was shocked at the rude service and lack of attention by the staff. We sat and ordered right away and waited for 40 minutes without receiving any food aside from 1 appetizer dish. The waitstaff kept bringing food to a table near us, but we could hear the family complaining that many of the dishes weren't what they had ordered. The waitresses just told them to keep it, or they would ask a nearby table if they wanted it instead, which is just weird. The family at the nearby table noticed that we were waiting for a while and hadn't received any of our food and shared that they believed they were receiving our dishes.

One of the waitresses eventually came up to us, after 40 mins of us waiting, and asked if we wanted to order anything else, as if we were done our meal! We replied that we hadn't received anything yet aside from 1 appetizer, and she acted surprised, like she had no idea! You didn't see us sitting there for almost an hour with no food?! (bare in mind as well, the restaurant was not busy. There were 3 occupied tables around us, so it wouldn't have been a big task to keep track of 4 tables between 2 waitresses, you would think at least). She then asked us if we wanted a dish that the nearby table declined....Such bizarre service, and we were very confused by the way the staff was handling the service. When we finally got our food, it wasn't fresh and was a major disappointment.

This place used to have the best sushi, with fast and friendly service. Sadly, I don't think I will be returning. Such a shame as this used to be my go-to for sushi, but there are other places nearby that are now better. I can no longer confidentaly recommend this one to others.

Hopefully in the near future, management will consider more training for their staff around customer service, hire better staff, and also bring back the quality of their food to what...

Okay first off- this is legit my favorite sushi place, everytime I go there for ayce I'm absolutely satisfied. HOWEVER... In the last few months idk if they've made any changes in management but the servers and the manager are just so rude. I remember they used to be so much nicer, more attentive. And they now put one tiny spoon of icecream and call it a scoop. Second- during covid I lived near by and I'd go pick up my favorite rolls in person, they knew me by face and always noticed me ordering the same thing. Once they opened ayce Ive been there several times, I take all my friends there and refuse to have sushi anywhere else. Eventually I moved and it's a bit too far for me and I don't drive so I've been ordering on Uber eats. They don't have my favorite rolls listed so they just told me to add a substitute roll and make a note. Alright. Done no issues. Now it's been a few months the menu is sort of different I call them again to tell them my situation like hey you don't have this roll listed last time you gave me substitute roll to add what do I do. It took me 3 days and 5 calls to figure this out. Now some months later they've got this substitute roll on 1-1. This first time they called and said hey we can only substitute one. I was like fair enough. The second time they didn't substitute at all or even call me. Ok don't really want to argue. After I ordered I called them this time and they're like sorry we can't do that. So I suggested scrap the 1-1 and just give me one roll- the one I like that's not Listed. They absolutely denied helping me out in any way and were so disrespectful and rude. They said oh no you gotta order a different roll now or cancel like it's just so hard to order with them. I don't understand why they don't want to just add that roll to their list in the first place. It's just sad because I love this place and losing one customer is not going to make a dent for them but Its upsetting that they couldn't help out a loyal customer For one small roll. I order probably once every few months so it's not like I'm asking for an...

This place is a great Go To as a back-up plan. They seem to focus on their food delivery companies more than their In House service. If you are already a regular customer, you should be okay. You will be greeted warmly and welcomed. If you only go once a month or two, you will be pining for attention. Before Covid hit, I was a weekly customer. And even with my generous tipping and polite and friendly manner, seldom would any establishment and customer relationship build up. It is oddly and disappointingly strange how if you look like you are a Woodbridge resident, you get better service. If you look like you came from Markham or Scarborough or Brampton, your verbal exchanges seem to be of shorter and less deep in nature and/or importance. I am not flashing the Race Card. I am merely highlighting unusually coincidental observations that seem to support a biased treatment of varying customers. I have been in the Food And Beverage And Hospitality industry for more than 3 decades. I have worked both front and back of the house. I have served local neighbourhoods as well as international celebrities. I am not new to social conventions and the downfalls of the economically trodden upon. Next time you are there, just quietly observe the behaviour of the floor staff and decide for yourself. Of course, if you are one of the recipients of actual kindness and social politeness at this restaurant, no need to comment. We all already know how great life is for you here. Low-key, casual, infrequent diners for In House or Take Out, be prepared to see what you can not unsee. The emotional betrayal is hard to stomach, unlike the yummy food, which is delicious and beautiful to look at. The kitchen is consistent with their quality and freshness. When my 3 first choices for Asian AYCE are too busy for me and my groups, Ginza is a solid back up that rarely fails with the food. Good quality, consistent and situated in a pretty convenient location. The interior is also beautifully designed...
