I recently dined at Green Mango Road on Weston Road and had a fantastic experience. The service was exceptional—prompt, attentive, and genuinely warm. The staff greeted me with smiles and made me feel right at home, checking in just enough to ensure everything was perfect without being overbearing. This is my work neighborhood pho. It's run like a mom and pop place. Yes the interior is dated but it is clean and that's all I care about. It's quiet so it's a good place have a good conversation here with someone you want to talk with. The brown sauce tastes fine to me and I just find it easy to pour. I usually get the vermicelli with spring roll and chicken with veg. Pretty consistently good. It's 8.95 and I too find the portion to be little smaller than most but it's enough. Spring rolls bit small too but again it's enough. Seems to be a lot of pieces. All ingredients in my food tasted fresh. If ur starving I'd get an appetizer. It's a comfy little place with good service and they have always obliged happily when i ask for extra fish sauce. Biggest thing for me is that its closest to my workplace so I like the added convenience. I think it's good for what it is but if you come in expecting 5 star everything you might be disappointed. I've been to dozens of Pho places and some of them have been less than stellar but this place has the worst Pho I've every had sizes are much smaller than most places, "raw" beef was REALLY freezer burnt, beef balls were sliced thin (most, not so great, places just cut them in half while good places leave them whole) and the "hoisin sauce" was watered down so badly you couldn't even taste it. The restaurant it self is clean and the ladies seemed nice but this cutting corners to save a dime is sad. If you think this place is the best....You haven't been to many Vietnamese...
