If you haven’t gone to this restaurant, you need to go. You are seriously missing out!
This restaurant is one half of a Seafood market. And honestly, that’s why whatever you order will always be the freshest you have tasted. It has limited seating so reservations are a must.
Our friends recommended the restaurant as they had been before. So we decide to go as a group. Reservations were made a week in advance. Coming in, one of the owners was shaking everyone’s hands and welcoming them as if he knew everyone personally. They really do try to make people feel like family around here.
We got the table by the window. They have limited seating and as such, the tables are a bit closer together. With the window near us, I felt less like we were near the larger group.
For appetizers, we ordered the fried smelt (which I haven’t had in years!), the calamari, and the bruschetta. Everything was so fresh! Just a little sprinkle of lemon or a bit of aioli, and it was ready to eat! The portions were generous and took a while to finish. There was no pressure to eat faster. Our server just watched for us to get near the end of our appetizers so he could tell the kitchen to get started on our entrees.
Entrees were salmon (with veggies and with salad), the Gamberi alla Diavola, and the pasta special of the day. We ordered a side of fries for the table but it wasn’t necessary because the portions were very filling without. For dessert, we got the blueberry cheesecake to share (just so we could each have a small bite of something sweet to end the night), and coffee. Everything from the first bite to the last was fresh, delicious and a treat to eat. We had no complaints at all.
Our server Thomas was a gentleman. He was very attentive yet never imposed. He made recommendations and asked questions. We explained our dietary concerns and he helped us to pick what we could eat. Our friends wanted wine and he was very informative.
The siblings who are owners came by to check on us and make conversation. We had no idea they close at 10, and were still eating and enjoying our coffee past 1030, when we realized. But they didn’t ask us to leave. They assured us that there were others still there and just to enjoy our food.
It’s this kind of family environment that we love. They are all just genuine people. We are already talking about going back to try other things. Thanks for making our...

Our recent dining experience at San Antonio Seafood Market & Oyster Bar was nothing short of spectacular, earning a well-deserved five-star rating. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service that set the stage for an unforgettable meal.
Let's talk about the food - absolute perfection! We had the pleasure of indulging in a variety of seafood dishes, including the fried calamari, linguini alle vongole, zuppa di pesce, and risotto pescatore. Each dish was expertly prepared with the freshest ingredients, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The fried calamari was crispy and tender, while the linguini alle vongole was perfectly al dente with a delightful balance of garlic and white wine sauce. The zuppa di pesce was a seafood lover's dream, brimming with an array of succulent seafood in a rich and aromatic broth, and the risotto pescatore was creamy and decadent, with a generous serving of fresh seafood that melted in your mouth with every bite.

Read moreI’ve just had the best meal in a very long time. Happened to be out this way and searched for a good place to try. The reviews were good for this hidden gem of a seafood restaurant tucked inside of a fish market. Very welcoming from the moment we walked in, large space with a patio as well. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share and try. I have to say that this place makes THE BEST fried calamari! Plump and tender and a very sizeable portion compare to many downtown establishments. I’d say even twice the size. Fresh oysters came out with a tray of their hot sauces and migonette. Linguine alle Vongole amazing, tasty with plump little clams and firm chewy pasta. Caesar salad nice and cold, nicely dressed. Mixed Grill Deluxe, your choice of four fish, simply amazing, delicately cooked served on risotto. We chose black cod, Chilean sea bass, monk fish, and halibut. Gamberi alla Diavola was delicious, sweetness and tenderness of the large shrimps came through just lightly cooked to perfection, not rubbery. You have choice of salad, vegetable or risotto with your meal. We all chose risotto and glad we did, creamy with nice textures of the grains coming through, not at all mushy. Tiramisu was also the best that I’ve tasted, the Lemon Marscapone cake was good but my fav was still the Tiramisu. Everything was just wonderful. Worth the drive. Loads of parking (in a plaza) and kid friendly as well, great for large parties. Four of us with a bottle of wine, dessert and coffee tax and tip came to $400. Not cheap but not bad for the amount and quality of food. They also sell really nice olive oil from their family farm in Puglia, and import tasty Italian wines, and of course offer lots of seafood! Thank you San Antonio for a most enjoyable evening, we will be back to try more of your...
