Kleinburg Kafé — Restaurant in Vaughan

Extremely disappointed in Kleinburg Cafe. I expected a lot better considering the great reviews and high prices but the service and food both were mediocre. We love to support local businesses but this experience was terrible. No one approached us to order or offer water for the first 15 minutes, we had to flag down the waitress. The avocado toast which was highly recommended in the reviews was bare bones, flavorless and I basically had to assemble it myself as it came with just the avocado spread on 2 small pieces of toast and a tiny amount of sliced cherry tomatoes and one piece of feta cheese. There was barely any balsamic glaze on it and no salt/pepper or any kind of spice to add flavour. No one came to check if we needed anything else throughout the time we were there - almost an hour. We would have liked to order dessert but no one came by at all. We even had to flag them down to ask for the bill at which point nothing was asked about if we enjoyed the food or needed anything else. We had high expectations as we frequently visit the area and support the other local small businesses but this was very disappointing to say the least especially considering the very high prices of the food/drinks. Definitely not worth the bill. More than the food, the service needs a huge improvement. At least if we we were asked or approached, we may have felt comfortable in expressing what we needed but it's difficult to do so if you aren't paid any attention or don't feel welcomed. My recent visit to Kleinburg Kafe left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I stepped in, Olivia and Gabby's exceptional customer service set the tone for a fantastic experience. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail was perfect.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Me and my friends came in expecting a nice meal for brunch. Instead, we got rude service and walked out before even ordering. The short hair blonde girl and the dirty blonde hair girl need retraining on manners/server etiquette. First, we were barely greeted when walking in (legit just stares, then a small “hi”). Then, the short hair blonde girl asks in a rude way, “ do you want to eat out in the patio or in here”. We decided to eat inside and SHE PROCEEDS TO POINT TO THE TABLE WHERE WE NEED TO SIT (with us looking towards her and her not saying a word)…so we look at each other and sit down at the table she pointed to. I then went to the washroom to wash my hands and they were giving me the dirtiest looks like I had two left eyes. I went back to the table and my friends had told me that the lady that brought their waters was aggressively placing it on the table. We ended up leaving before placing an order and went to Belsito down the street for some delicious food. I left a comment on their most recent TikTok (KleinBurg Kafe) explaining my experience.
