Patio is very nice if you can find shade. A couple umbrellas would make it much more comfortable.
Salads were very expensive for what amounted to lettuce, a couple other things, and bottled dressing. My Cesar had exactly 6 croutons, lettuce, and a bit of Parmigiano. And it was $14.
Pizza was just ok. I expected the square pizza to be more crispy on the bottom. Also, the dough had no "chew" - it seemed like it did have enough time to proof. Also, because we added bacon to the mushroom pizza ($24 for 6 slices) they didn't put the truffle dust on it, which is the main reason we ordered it. Still got charged $3 extra for some sliced bacon that was still fatty / rubbery and not crispy or double-smoked as listed on the menu.
Our server was very good and made excellent cocktails. There was a mistake on the bill because we got charged for a drink we ordered but did not get, and it was fixed quickly. However, it was very off-putting to see a couple and their granddaughter sit at a table behind us only to have another server / cook yell at them for not waiting to be seated. She made them stand at the entrance to the patio until our busy server could seat them. It was very surprising, abrupt, and rude. I certainly would not have stayed if were them.
We will not be back, especially with so many other excellent restaurants on...
Read moreNO phone number to confirm order and time it will be ready Only 1 way to order ‘touch bistro’. You must sign up to order from this place When placing the order, the site says your pizza will take 20-50 mins to be completed. Again no phone number or email to contact anyone at this place. I wanted the pizza for 6:15ish hot. I was ordering 4 pizza’s - So I ordered at 5:45 thinking 6:05 earliest but with 4 pizza’s, probably 6:15-6:30. Fair? I think so. Again, no email, no phone number, nada. We are in the dark: Guess what - 6pm, only 15 mins after placing my order, I get a text.. ha! A text that my X4 pizzas are ready. An entire 15 mins went by... far cry from the 20-50 mins message received on touch bistro. I got there 6:20Pm to pick up the pizzas. What did I get? Cold and soggy pizza. No crunch. Lousy. So get a phone (yes go old school man), get an email address, allow ordering on your site (why do I have to sign up for touch bistro. I don’t want to) Lastly - communicate with your customer, and crank the heat up in your ovens. Why else would there be no crunch at all to our pizza... beyond sitting for 20 mins on a shelf. Dough tasted good and fresh Toppings fresh Pizza overall besides being cold, flat and soggy... nothing special sorry. For $90 I wanted to be blown away! I...
Read moreWe stopped at Klienburg after a long hike tired and hungry. The little pizzeria seemed like a nice place for a quick bite and downtime. The customer service we received was downright rude!! We wanted to dine in which for some reason wasn't acceptable to the gentleman who took our order. Although great time went into explaining the menu options and we specified our order; we still got served the wrong pizza! We accidentally removed the pizza from the box for which we were " scolded" and the same pizza got served to another customer. He forgot to take the dips along the order and came back for them later. Even though we did not order the dips we were asked to pay for them and we're told it's just 2$ plus tax. No accountability for their mess up. On the contrary he clearly told us to our face YOU DID NOT LEAVE A TIP. In light of paying three times for the price of a NOT SO GREAT pizza & dip, being admonished for eating in and then demanding a tip ( which he clearly didn't earn) I will not recommend anyone to go there unless you want to be rudely disrespected!! Over priced pizza with sub optimal customer service!! 0...
