Local Cafe — Restaurant in Vaughan

I wanted gelato nearby and found this place online.

⯪ Service Elderly man and the girl who took my order were polite and friendly. Slow service. I ordered: 2 gelato flavours in a cup 1 pistachio croissant that was displayed behind the counter 1 black coffeee I received the pistachio croissant and black coffee first, normal wait times for an order like this. The gelato took much longer, around 10 minutes.

★ Presentation As much as you would expect from gelato in a cup and a coffee. Pretty normal.

☆ Taste - Execution The gelato was soft, as if it had been out for a while. It was already dripping down the side of the cup when I received it.

⯪ Taste - Flavour The gelato flavours were ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. If anything, the flavours were somewhat underwhelming. The coffee was watered down. The croissant was delicious! It was, however, microwaved and it became soggy. They did not ask if I wanted it heated up. I would have even preferred it at room temperature.

⯪ Ambience & Value for Money They have covered outdoor tables and seating. Very nice on a summer day. For the soft and bland gelato, and watered down coffee, in my opinion is overpriced.

Terrible service. Had to wait for more than 15 minutes to get my order that had just 1 ice cream. And the owner claims they gave it to me when I didn’t receive it. Had to go back and forth between 2 windows to see what the confusion was. All this for a mere $6?

Unprofessional and a total waste of time. I would rather spend $15-$20 on a small cup of ice cream than pay $6 again to you guys.

Do better next time please rather than saying it takes time during a holiday / long weekend. A small cup of ice cream can never take 15 minutes when it’s not even too busy and it’s 3 people working inside the store. It costs nothing to be nice to your customers coz guess what? You won’t survive...

Just visited here for the first time. Ordered two gelatos , the lemon was full of ice and so sugary it was not edible. Went immediately back to the window to return for something else. Instead of an easy exchange a miserable and rude older gentlemen refused to do anything about it and proceeded to school me on what gelato was. He then charged full price again to change the order.
