I recently visited Me Va Me and was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the food, particularly the laffa. Having heard good things about their Middle Eastern cuisine, I had high expectations, but the experience fell short on multiple fronts. The laffa I ordered was completely drenched in sauces, to the point where it overpowered the other flavors and made the bread soggy. Instead of enhancing the taste, the excessive sauces made it messy and unappetizing. The meat was another letdown—it tasted low quality, with an odd texture and lack of seasoning that made it far from the flavorful, tender cuts you would expect in a properly made laffa. Additionally, the overall balance of ingredients felt off. Instead of a harmonious combination of fresh vegetables, savory meat, and well-seasoned spreads, the laffa seemed hastily thrown together without much thought or care. The vegetables didn’t seem particularly fresh, and the proportions were all wrong, leaving the whole dish heavy and unsatisfying. The presentation and service also left something to be desired. The laffa was poorly wrapped, making it difficult to eat without everything falling apart. As for the ambiance, while the restaurant itself was clean and relatively inviting, the lack of attention to detail in the food made it hard to enjoy the meal. Unfortunately, this experience makes it unlikely that I will return to Me Va Me anytime soon.

I've ordered the large falafel platter from this restaurant through Uber Eats a few times over the past year. While my first order was great - generous portions, fresh vegetables, six falafels, and laffa bread included - the value has noticeably declined with each subsequent order. On my second order, the price had gone up, which was understandable given the times, but disappointing nonetheless. By the third order, they had removed the laffa bread from the platter entirely (and from the Uber description), which felt like a quiet reduction in value. Most recently, they packed the falafels first and squeezed small portions of sides around them, resulting in a much smaller overall meal. What used to be enough for three modest meals has now shrunk to barely two, despite the consistent price (or increases). In tough economic times, I look for places that offer good value and consistency. Unfortunately, this restaurant no longer delivers on either. Me Va Me has always leaned toward the pricier side - even back when they first opened in Toronto - but the steady decline in portion size and quality makes the cost hard to justify now. I won't be ordering again, and I'd suggest looking elsewhere if you're after better value for your money.

My recent order from Me Va Me, a restaurant I've frequented as a loyal customer, has left me thoroughly disappointed. The babganoush, a dish I've always enjoyed, turned out to be a shadow of its former self due to a recent recipe change. Upon bringing this to the restaurant's attention, not only did they admit to altering the recipe, but they also refused to provide a refund. This response is unacceptable, particularly considering my long-term patronage. As someone who has supported Me Va Me for years, I expected better. The lack of accountability and refusal to address customer concerns have significantly diminished my trust in their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. It's disheartening to see a restaurant I once enjoyed fall short in both food quality and customer service.

Title: Disappointing Experience for Restricted Diets

Review: I recently visited this restaurant with high hopes of finding options that fit my restricted diet, but unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed and frustrated. As someone who cannot consume carbs, I requested a sandwich without bread. To my surprise, the restaurant staff informed me that they couldn't accommodate this simple modification.

Understanding their limitations, I decided to opt for a shawarma platter with vegetables instead. However, I encountered another roadblock when they informed me that they couldn't provide the same vegetables they typically include in sandwiches. I was surprised by this response, especially since we were discussing basic ingredients like lettuce and tomatoes.

In an effort to find a solution, I offered to pay extra for the specific vegetables I wanted, but unfortunately, my request was declined. This left me feeling even more frustrated, as it seemed like a simple request that should have been easily accommodated.

As someone with dietary restrictions, it's disheartening to encounter a lack of flexibility and understanding from a restaurant, particularly when it comes to basic ingredients like vegetables. It's important for restaurants to be mindful of the needs and preferences of their customers, especially in an era where dietary restrictions are increasingly common.

While the restaurant may have other positive aspects, this experience left me with a feeling of disappointment and a sense that my dietary needs were not taken seriously. For individuals with restricted diets, I would advise exploring other dining options that are more accommodating and understanding of specific dietary...

Food quality is exemplary.Service and customer service needs to be examined by the manager of whom I asked to speak with. The VETERAN MALE INDIAN CASHIER,who's been working there for 13 years according to the manager should be reprimanded and FIRED. He was not wearing his shield during food preparation, face fully exposed and began yelling/spitting at a middle aged woman asking for her ticket number so he could "quote, get you out of here faster ". Awesome way to spread COVID 19 champ! 👌She was too passive to speak up,but I didnt give an iota.Told him he need to put on his shield, lower his voice and speak to her like a person.Shes a customer just as we all are.His ignorance and length of employment in this establishment has rendered him too comfortable and lacking professionalism and should be reprimanded and FIRED. A police office walked in as this allhappend,I said to the manager ,you think hes gonna speak to a police officer that way? No way, took his order promptly and addressed him as Sir.with respect, which everyone regardless of age, title ,creed deserve in every circumstance especially in customer service setting. The manager seemed to defend him saying "you dont know what type of day he might have had,I reiterated that I didnt care and that's irrelevant. Go for the food, but demand respect and quality customer service or simply go elsewhere. You're not the only cooks in the kitchen. Will not be returning to this location for this reason. Laffa bread wasnt even hot.. Would not recommend this location to anyone ever again and will speak poorly of this location from now on due to this insanly poor experience unless he's outta there.Reviews are KING and the internet...

I guess my expectations were too high. I remember the flagship restaurant (over 10 years ago) run by the family. Great food, great prices, great service. So, you ask, how can you possibly mess up a "franchised" version of the original, supposedly 100% dedicated to fast food...? No visible prices. The regulars already know what they want and there is a tiny printed menu about the size and weight of a parking ticket. But having no visible menu or prices shows a certain lack of interest in the customer. Prices are on the high side. I am being polite here, but remember that Toronto is ALEADY one of the 10 most expensive cities in the world and when this review was written in 2014 food inflation was 22%. Food was .. average. The original flagship shop was known for lots of "kick" in the salads, lots of garlic and spices. This menu was "blanded down." Service was ... terrible. Which is a neat trick for a takeout. My salads were spooned immediately but my side falafel order was lost. After 10 minutes, I made discrete enquiries as to where it might be, and 5 minutes after that I saw one of the grill guys almost throw the order at a staff member (having a bad day?) and EVEN THEN it sat there for another minute or two while other customers (ie, customers who came in much much later than I did) were handled. Frankly, I have seen better organization in Chinese restaurants that don't even encourage takeout to start with, but somehow get it right anway. And the falafels were delivered naked, no sause or tahini, and no one even offered any. Not going back ... and I doubt if...
