We came as a group yesterday, we did not have good Service at all. They seemed short staffed as the manager was coming around to help out the one waitress, but she seemed to have a bit of an attitude and told us not to use the menus as placemats. The waitress didn’t take away our menus so somehow that’s our fault and the manager was speaking to us like children. I went looking for the waitress about three times to try and order something, we won’t be back for service that crappy. We discussed almost not tipping at the table which is unheard of for us. We were going to cancel the dessert we ordered because it was taking so long, We just did not have an enjoyable time with the service they are. The atmosphere and the place was great, but they did not have enough staff to handle the mediocre crowd, and our service lacked because of it. It was my first time there, and it’s really too bad because I’m looking for a new bar spot, but we were so turned off by the service, which is not a difficult thing to show some kindness to people who are paying money at your establishment. I hope the manager is the bar owner because if I was the owner, I would not be happy to see how lacking and rude service is the reason that customers don’t come back. The waitress was kind, but the manager was not. At least I’m assuming she was the manager, she didn’t announce herself as that, but she came over like a know it all, and spoke to us in a very condescending way about the menus at our table and...

After over a year of frequently visiting this establishment, my family and I have decided we will not be returning or recommending it to others due to a disappointing experience with poor customer service.

On Saturday, February 1, 2025, at approximately 6:50 PM, we visited as a party of two adults and one minor. Our plan was to enjoy a meal and play a couple of games of darts. However, as we made our way to the dartboards, we were stopped by the male bartender and informed that no minors were allowed in the bar area. I explained that we were only there to play darts and purchase food—not to consume alcohol—but he still refused to allow us to play, stating that minors were not permitted because the dartboards were located within the bar section.

This policy, combined with the chosen layout of the dartboards, essentially limits access to any party that includes a minor. It’s incredibly frustrating that the management has set up the facility in a way that excludes families from enjoying simple recreational activities. If the dartboards are in a restricted area, then families should be informed upfront, or a more inclusive solution should be considered.

We left feeling unwelcome and disappointed. It’s a shame because we’ve supported this place for a long time, but after this experience, we won’t be returning. If you’re planning to visit with family, be aware that you may face unnecessary restrictions due to their layout...

Great place to listen to live music. Food is decent. In general, the service sucks. We have been there many times.

The crazy part is that Tickled Toad enforces a policy of charging 18% tip when you have a larger group of people.

According to TripAdvisor, Tipping guidelines are: It is customary to tip approximately 15-20% on the total bill before tax, less for poor service, more for truly exceptional service. Many restaurants may charge an automatic 15-18% gratuity for larger groups.

We didn't see a disclosure on the Menu regarding automatic 18% gratuity on the menu.

Just because we had 6-8 guests at our table doesn't entitle the restaurant to 18% gratuity unless they offered stellar service. At this establishment, when we have a larger group at our table, the service diminishes. Our waiter, the tall guy with the moustache has a laissez-faire, arrogant attitude and is absolutely not interested in expediting delivery of our food and drinks.

In fact, he forgot to take some of the guests food orders and he moves very slowly.

When we asked the waitress, "why 18%"? Her reply, "we charge 18% before tax which is equivalent to 15% after tax".

There was no option to provide the waiter with the Gratuity that he really deserved .... not...
