Came here with my mom and dad. We decided to order food for take out from here seeing as they were leaving the next day to fly back home. We noticed on the menu that it advertised that they served authentic Thai and Vietnamese food which was something we were all craving. We noticed that the menu did not have sticky rice, coconut rice, or massaman which are basic parts of an authentic Thai cuisine. Despite all of this, we decided to order from here anyways. Once we got our food, we went back to their hotel and realized that the lady who took our order ended up making a mistake (forgot to add an additional Thai green curry plus our drinks which we paid for) so we had to drive back and get the third order. We ordered the deep fried spring rolls, two of the Thai green curry with chicken and rice, the pad Thai with curry and beef, and the coconut bubble tea. The green curries had massive chunks of bok choy which were very difficult to eat and the green curry itself wasn't spectacular, the coconut bubble tea was delicious but was quite pricey due to the small container it came in. The deep fried spring rolls were delicious and the portion sizes were satisfying, and last but not least the pad Thai curry with beef was disappointing due to the lack of flavour, spice, and only came with three slices of beef that were dried out and bland. My family and I came to Toronto expecting to have a great experience with the city's wide selection of restaurants but unfortunately we came across this place which left a sour taste in our mouths. Highly do...
Read moreThis place has a weird Pho.
At first I was like what am I eating? The soup had an unusal spice/spiciness for the traditional Pho. Also, even though I ordered meatballs and raw meat, it came only with meat balls - a lot of them.
I called on the waiter and inquired about the lack of raw meat, whilst my taste buds were getting accustomed to the unique taste, I got the meat - a very generous portion.
I added the meat to the now-not-boiling soup, which resulted in it not cooking well. The waiter saw that and immedietly brought a boiling soup cup to cook the raw meat in, without me asking - extra point for service.
As I continued eating, and was contemplating on the review I'll leave (Which wasn't good) I found it harder and harder to leave a bad review because it is actually very good.
The meat was very tender and tasty, the soup itself was unique and also very tasty, the ingredients were fresh and the waiter was professinal and understanding.
Cons: The place itself is small, boring and dull. The service is somewhat slow (but accommodating).
I would definitely recommend and go back there to eat again.
Thank you for the...
Read moreBy far the worst customer service ever. The two servers with very short hair and glasses are the epitome of disgusting behaviour. They offer near zero customer service and when you ask for something they drag their feet and have the most terrible attitude. The audacity of these two blows me away. It's as of its their own restaurant and they don't want any customers coming in. Them along with one of the kitchen staff a male are always sitting at a table all on their phones, with not one of them looking up to see if a customer needs anything. I used to be a regular but I will never return because of these two rude servers. They don't even help you get a high chair, it's self service. They never appreciate your tip either, its as if thank you is not in their vocabulary The food is also never consistent. The satay pho is not even hot enough to cook the beef which in turn gave me diahreah. don't see this place lasting long for as long as these two rude servers are there. Go to pho Metro down the street, it's a world of a difference. Never again! Strangers will treat each other better than these two will treat you. ...
