I am writing to express my deep concern regarding an incident I witnessed at your Thornhill location at Bathurst and Beverly Glen.
A young girl, approximately 8 or 9 years old, came into the store and politely asked for a cup of water. To my surprise, one of the associates told her that they could not provide her with water because she was not a customer. The girl explained that she was very thirsty and again asked if she could please have a cup of water. The staff member responded that Starbucks no longer offers free water.
I found this response incredibly disappointing and upsetting. Denying a child access to something as basic and essential as drinking water, especially when she is clearly in need, goes against basic human decency and the values I expect from a brand like Starbucks. I believe this situation could have and should have been handled with more compassion.
I kindly ask that this matter be reviewed and that your staff be reminded of the importance of empathy and community responsibility. No child should be turned away when asking for water.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope you will take the appropriate steps to ensure that all Starbucks locations provide a welcoming and humane environment for everyone, regardless of whether they are...
Read moreThis location is one of the locations I visit often. Grace had prepared my drink for me and me being an observer I had observed her way of making my drink, she had made my drink exactly how I wanted it start to finish. She even topped up on the caramel and mocha drizzle after the white mocha was added and made the initial toppings mixed in. I appreciate her for that! I’ve gone to different locations days after my visit, I had ordered the same drink same exact way, end result it was not exactly how Grace had made it, she basically had set my expectations for other baristas to be on the same level but I guess not. Keep up the great work and serving your customers! Will be visiting again and hope that Grace and or one of her colleagues will be making my drink again the exact same way! Starbucks has a great barista (Grace) working for...
Read moreI would like to say that for a long time, at least for a couple of years, I order, actually, the same drink in many Starbucks stores - Strawberry refresher, without lemonade, and light ice.
The worth drink made (almost each time) in the store at 8010 Bathurst St., the best one is in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
The general idea is the store makes a mix of the strawberry syrup and water (most of the places is too much water), then they put that mixture and add more water and ice. Then, the color of the drink gets so light "pink colored" that it looks like for almost 5.00 + tax, for tall cup I pay, actually, for water.
Then, when, sometimes, I say it’s watery, the workers add a few drops of the mixture (again), not an...
