Swiss Chalet — Restaurant in Vaughan

Ordered from this restaurant for delivery a handful of times my experience there’s always been a continuous concern an issue at this particular restaurant. I find them to be rude management if you have to call to address the concern my orders are usually wrong contrary to what was taken over the phone and what was on the receipt God for bid you once again Voice your concern, I’ve tried in the past to not receive any orders from this particular location on Bathurst Street in ThornHill. Every time I ordered was always for a family and 90% of the time it is greatly disappointing I ordered a whole chicken which was specified on the bill as per my order over the phone and They decided that they’re going to send us whatever they choose to send my family last night what is the worst of all I ordered the new Thanksgiving family pack once again I specifically asked the operator to specify that it Has to be a whole chicken and other areas of concern that I’ve had in the past they decided that they were not going to comply and instead of having to replace the meal they did not deliver the meal at all so here you have a family with a disabled person, I ordered a meal specified by the operator from 4:45 PM after an hour and a half of trying to call back the ordering line to get through to somebody to no avail at about 7:38 o’clock my family gave up this was profoundly disappointing To say the least. This restaurant has always displayed unprofessionalism disorganization inadequate standards of food contrary to the guidelines set out by Swiss chalet Corporation they operate at a subpar standards once again contrary to the standards and expectations set out by the corporation for individual franchises. UPDATE: after speaking with the franchise owner, it appears things were made right and on the return outing with my date, everything went fine. I would give that outing 5 stars, so given the 1 star prior, I'll average it out at 3. While not all staff may care about their customers, the franchise owner does.

Food was great as always, atmosphere was great as always.

This is not my first time attending the restaurant. However this is by far the worst experience I've had.

Throughout the service, I had to beg to get water and napkins, asking multiple times. It took My date to call Sonia over for a third time to get it. My date couldn't finish all the chicken, but instead of packing it to go, Sonia threw it out. Perhaps retribution for having to ask multiple times for water and napkins? Not sure.

Then, there was a table to my left that sat down. Father and a kid. They sat there with a menu for 15 minutes with Sonia not coming by. The father had to get up to ask for service, with Sonia saying she'd come by in a minute.

After another 5 minutes, the father, understandably pissed, got up to leave, with Sonia telling him to sit back down. She FINALLY took the order.

When the bill came, I didn't tip a penny. Sonia looked at the bill and said, "no tip?" And I said, "that's correct". She didn't say a single word and left. No have a good night, no thanks for coming, nothing. Terrible attitude.

You are not ENTITLED to my money. For all you know, I had to save for weeks for the meal. You have no idea what financial situation I'm in. Don't be a jerk to customers.

Won't be coming back. Will spend my hard earned money at a place that appreciates customers as opposed to just treating them...

This place is a joke there worker's are very rude and have no manners they keep a eye who goes there and who gives them the most tip money. If they don't like what you give them the next time you go you wait forever to get served. I was there 3 weeks ago with my wife waited forever to be served and the girl Michelle saw us there waiting to order and was ignoring us too then 25 mins later she's like oh sorry didn't know you guys were there and she knew all the time we were there serving other people. Plus the food was cold. I don't need or any people to give you tip when we are just having a meal with water. Your job is to take the order bring the food that is what you are hired for not think we are your paycheck I give what tip I want my wife and i didn't have no wine or beer we had water so you get whatever you get is two bucks after the service you gave us.Then Michelle tells me I couldn't get my 250 scene points cuz the 30 bucks was before tax and my card and the app on my phone is a gift card she is something I tell you now I'm dealing with scene to get my points cuz she was wrong. No wonder its always dead there because the service is so bad even manager didn't care about the issues too never coming back...
