Thai Express Restaurant Woodbridge — Restaurant in Vaughan

I had some guests from the states coming so I decided to take them to Pai. I had never actually dined in the restaurant but have had take out from Pai and it was amazing. This review is based on my experience in the restaurant. I was able to get a reservation for 4 on Open Table 2-3 days in advance for Saturday night. Definitely made the right call since there was a huuuge line when we got to the restaurant, and as we were leaving at around 7:30, the line extended to almost around the corner of Duncan and Adelaide.

We started off with the papaya salad, tom yum soup, and Pai sangria. At first, I said that I didn't like salads and probably would not eat much of the salad. My friends ordered it anyway, and I ended up having a lot of the papaya salad. It was soooo good. It came in a platter and we were advised that it can be eaten all mixed or like nachos. We ended up eating them like nachos and it was fantastic. I loved their tom yum soup, it may even be the best I've ever had. The tom yum soup was so flavorful, not like the watered downed stuff you see at other Thai restaurants. We shared four mains--Pad Thai with Shrimp, Hunglay Oxtail, Khao Soi with chicken drumsticks, and Gaeng Penang with beef. They were all amazing and extremely flavorful but I think my favorite was the Khao Soi and Hunglay Oxtail. The Hunglay Oxtail was not spicy and is a good option for those who can't handle spice.

Overall, our experience at Pai was amazing, the service is a little slow, but it's understandable since the restaurant is crazy busy all the time. Great choice for impressing your guests as well as...

A 1 star is even too high of a rating... I am absolutely disgusted with the customer service me and my friend received today. When I received the wrong order, I went to the counter to let the employees know about the misunderstanding. I began the conversation very calmly, but as the conversation continued the employee began to raise her voice at me. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, she continued to deny any responsibility and shooed my and my friend away telling us to leave the store. It is astonishing that employees treat paying customers this way. Every employee there was disgustingly rude to us and should not be working in customer service. I asked for a manager or the store owner, and when I asked for any type of contact information to report the situation they refused to provide it. It is safe to say we will not be returning to this location if they feel it is okay to scam and yell at the customers....

Ordered extra chinese broccoli and paid extra meal come out to close $20, also left a tip. Upon opening the meal at home I'm surprised to find no extra items despite paying for it. Unable to get a hold of the store as they don't pick up their phone. Do yourself one extra and just avoid this location.

Edit: As a response to the response from the "owner" I've already emailed thai express to express my frustration. I've also included my receipt and photos of my meal. If you're going to response to my post with "please contact us so we can follow up" please do so to ensure customer satisfaction, stop playing games with your customers you don't look any better by looking...
