Awful service!!! We visited Turquoise Restaurant about a month ago, and the experience was horrible -both the food and the customer service.
The staff were extremely rude and clearly don’t know how to speak to customers. They’re running a business without even knowing the basics of how to treat people. I’ve worked as a customer service agent before, and I know the most important rule: the customer is always right. You should never blame the customer, your job is to solve the problem. We tried ordering several dishes, but they told us three of the meals weren’t available. So we chose the beef kebab, expecting regular steak-style meat. But they never mentioned it was ground beef. When it arrived, the meat was undercooked, full of blood, and completely unappetizing. We asked them to change it and bring us a different dish, and the new meat they gave us was almost all fat - barely any actual meat. It was not edible, and we were very disappointed.
We also ordered kelle pacha soup, which my husband usually loves — he’s eaten it many times and always liked it. But here, he said it had nothing to do with real kelle pacha. It tasted horrible and completely different from the real thing. The food quality overall was horrible, and we couldn’t enjoy anything we ordered. But what made everything worse was the customer service. Instead of apologizing or trying to fix anything, the staff were rude and defensive. The tall lady, who seemed to be the manager, was especially disrespectful. She spoke to us with attitude and anger, even though the mistake was on their side. If they had been polite, apologized, or offered us a small discount or free item, we would’ve appreciated it. But there was no effort to make things right, only rudeness and attitude. And when we left with my husband, they didn’t even say goodbye. They completely ignored us as if we weren’t even there.
❌ Horrible food – undercooked kebab, fatty meat, bad kelle pacha soup ❌ Rude staff with no customer service training ❌ No apology, no solution, no care ❌ Manager treated us with anger and disrespect ❌ We were ignored when we left
We left very disappointed and will never return. There are many other Turkish restaurants where both the food and the service are...
Read moreA family friend took me, my mother and sister here. We dined here for the first time. From the waiters and waitresses to the chefs, everyone was so kind and welcoming. We were informed that the chefs came all the way from Turkey just two months ago for this restaurant and you can really see it. Both the entrees and main dishes were so delicious it tasted like they were made with love. The talent these chefs have is so authentic and real. It felt like I was in Adana and Antakya enjoying authentic Turkish cuisine. It genuinely felt like I took a trip to Anatolia with its authenticity. If not, the food tasted even better than the restaurants I have been to in Turkey. The restaurant is rather spacious, so clean and the seats are very comfortable. The layout is so open giving full view of the talented chefs displaying their skills. Everything looked sanitized, clean and fresh. The staff are so sweet and they consistently come to check up on you without being too much of a burden. The price is even good for what you get which surprised me. I normally do not write reviews because I always forget but this time I made it my mission to. Because this restaurant is hiding in plain sight and I am so surprised I only found out about this restaurant today. It is weird to say that I do not have one bad thing to say about my experience here at this restaurant.👍 I only have pictures of the main dish but everything was truly amazing as well. We had a 4 person assortment of meats, grilled tomatoes and peppers. We asked for Bulgur wheat to compliment the meat. The homemade bread was so soft yet crispy and seasoned well. Overall completely...
Read moreEat at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Turquoise Grill House is an absolute favourite and I will be returning there as often as I can. The portions are huge, and delicious.
The mezze sampler is beautifully presented, and the flavours were perfect - a favourite of mine was the Muhammara. And the freshly baked bread? I could've eaten a meal of only that. It was fluffy, crispy, and everything you could ever desire. The Gavurdagi salad was large enough to share and very tasty.
For mains we ordered Adana Kebab, iskender kebab, veggie pide, and doner kebab. The portions are HUGE and you will likely take some home.
Adana was a favourite - slightly spicy, juicy, and the bulgar was delicious. Iskender was sweeter than anticipated because of the tomato sauce, and the yogurt side and the char on the meat offered nice contrast. The doner was flavourful and came as expected. The pide - going back to the fresh bread - was extraordinary. The inside was packed with spinach, and the melted cheese made it a gooey delight. Dessert: Baklava was outstanding. Not too sweet, and with a hearty amount of nuts. The ice cream it came with had a unique texture. The hot cake was a favourite of mine. The Molten inside was a luxurious texture and the chestnut flavor was something I'd never tried before. Kunefe was good, but a bit too sweet for my taste (until you hit the cheese). It was an unexpected contrast, and I think shared with more people I would've enjoyed it more because the heaviness of the cheese was a lot at the end...
