Bean Scene Coffee House — Restaurant in Vernon

I recently had a chance to experience The Bean Scene in Vernon first hand. I want compliment the owner on creating such a lovely atmosphere. It more of an old school coffee shop, with a up to date attentive staff. You walk in and you are greeted by warm smiles from your baristas. There is a certain energy to the Cafe that's is hard to put your finger on. And then it hit me. It's a gathering spots for people of all ages. It is a place to come and enjoy the moment and sip on that perfect cup of coffee.

I spoke with Matt the owner briefly and I could really see he was passionate about his coffee and his Cafe. He also pointed out the two older couples that had been coming in everyday since they opened in 1994. Obviously they are doing...

Bean Scene reminds me of a beatnik hangout that you would find close to the Bay Area in San Francisco or Seattle. Dark wood, mismatched chairs and tables, two floors, two outside balconies and local art hanging on the walls. Staff is really friendly and greet all the regulars by name. Espresso, cappuccino, iced coffee and lattes, they are all good. Not sure where they get their apple fritters, but they are currently my favourite! Sometimes, a place has the power to completely transport you. From the outside, this café didn’t give me the impression that it would be anything special. But once I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy atmosphere. Then I went upstairs—and that’s when I truly fell in love with the setting.

It was my first visit, and I instantly regretted not discovering it sooner. The staff were polite and incredibly patient, making the experience even better. Definitely a must-visit...
