JEALOUS PIZZA N DONAIR VERNON — Restaurant in Vernon

First time ordering from Jealous and I will be ordering again. I ordered the “Pepperoni Jealous Signature Pizza” in a small, as well as an order of “garlic bread,” “tzatziki” and “ranch.” I spent $37, comparable to local pizza prices. However on the menu there is an option for “cheesy bread” and an option for “garlic bread.” I ordered the “garlic bread” expecting actual garlic bread and I was given a pizza crust covered in cheese, garlic flavour, and some seasoning. Very delicious but not what I was ordering and would be very disappointing and misleading to someone allergic to dairy thinking they are just ordering garlic bread. (Lucky my lactose boyfriend wasn’t with me as he often orders garlic bread when I get pizza.) Their dips appear to be home made and are pretty good (could be thicker, and “tzatziki” was a bit weak in flavour.) I’m not a ranch fan myself but got “ranch” as there was no options for any cheese/cheddar dips which I found strange for a pizza place. I usually like light sauce as most places use too much, but jealous uses the perfect amount and their sauce was delicious. (very flavourful, seems homemade, and sweet and savoury)

Pros: Yummy pizza with good crust and sauce, yummy home made dips, decent prices, and large menu with lots of choices.

Cons: Small dip selection with no option for cheese or cheddar dips, garlic bread is not actually garlic bread but is cheesy bread like you would get at Panago or little Caesar’s, and some misleading menu items.

I just ordered for delivery of 2 Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo dishes and cheesy bread. Before I say anything else, I would reccomend this place regardless because everyone has different opinions and experiences.

I prefer a little more taste when it comes to cheesy bread, more like a litte seasoning but overall the cheesy bread was pretty great, fluffy bread and crust with a good amount of cheese 10/10 I also don't like Marinara sauce in general but theirs was actually good and i enjoyed it so I'll be ordering this again in the future.

Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, again I like more season or taste, but if you like a simple sauce, chicken, and noodle then you'll enjoy this dish. I think the noodles were a little mushy but they were really good regardless, I just didn't eat the chicken because the texture felt weird (again you may have a different opinion so try it anyway if you're thinking of ordering it) We had asked on one of these dishes to contain tomatoes and black olives, they were so kind to add it in even without charge, much appreciated ♡

10/10 will order from them again, I hope their staff has...

I enjoy the donair offering here, it isnt exactly spectacular but it is consistent, predictable, and it hits the spot when craving sweet donair sauce or the garlicky falafel. The staff are great, friendly and quick, and I think the best thing about this spot is there late night friendly hours. There are very few options for quick food in the late evening, much less options for something on the healthy side and this fills that void being ooen until midnight :) Being a late night business in Vernon is certainly not easy and I respect them for sticking with it.

Ny one gripe is the fries: I ordered spicy fries and the spice was Masala or something similar which I was caught off guard by since while it is a spice it isnt exactly spicy, but more importantly, the fries were VERY limp while still being very hot so no excusing due to being 'old fries'. Stay away from the fries, but the donair is worth it for me espescially on a late evening. Haven't tried the pizza as I prefer a Napoletana, but its a good local pizza spot serving...
