Mug N Muffin — Restaurant in Vernon

Mug N Muffin is my 102nd eatery here in Vernon.

I have never been here before. It is interesting to note I worked one block away from this restaurant for six years, but never ate here.

I ordered the veggie omelette which included hashbrowns, brown toast, and a drink for $12.02 after taxes.

Good luck finding a deal like that anywhere in town.

I was amazed how big the plate was and that the hashbrowns are smothered in cheese. Finally, a place in Vernon makes proper hashbrowns. All hashbrowns should include cheese.

There are a lot of Montreal Canadiens memorabilia as the owner's husband is a fan of the team.

The owner herself has been running this place for sixteen years. She is extremely friendly and is an excellent conversationalist. She is hilarious if she has a free moment to talk to you.

Nearly all customers come here during the morning given the neighbourhood's demographic. I was here at 1:30 and was the only customer inside for the next 45 minutes.

The meal was delicious and I was absolutely full. The omelette and the hashbrowns were major highlights.

I appreciated the music playing too.

Tried to go to the competition down the block today around 11:30, but the lineup was too long. We took a chance on Mug n Muffin instead, and man are we glad we did.

A lovely little place with a great atmosphere run by two delightful people. Ate a delicious brunch that was served crazy fast. On the way out, what I presume was the owners (definitely the cook and server) were extra gracious. The prices were superb!
