Best authentic Italian wood fire pizza in Vernon! Absolutely love this new place downtown. My friend and I were celebrating the kick-off to a new paddling season. It was my first time at Masiero's - thank goodness we had a reservation (recommended) it was lively on a Thursday. The restaurant is chic with a vibrant ambiance - very stylish design. Bailee was our server and she was attentive and full of helpful tips and recommendations.

My friend and I shared the caesar salad to start - love the pancetta in place of bacon bits, the meaty moresels were packed with so much flavor. They had a lovely selection of wine including some local Okanagan wines.

I had the spicy Italian pizza and my friend had the Margherita pizza. The spicy Italian had a bit of heat which I loved! If you're a fan of picante - they also provide chili oil and chili flakes.

The spicy Italian was chocked with a ton of flavor each bite was a party in my mouth. You can taste the quality in the ingredients in every bite. Mozzarella was real and delicious!

I thought the margherita was going to be boring - but my friend and I traded a couple slices of pizza. I was blown away by the flavor of the margherita. It was an explosion of basil done to perfection. Loved the Neapolitan pizza crust chewy deliciousness. Every bite was savory and scrumptious!

We had desert to top off the night. They had my favourite - tiramisu. my friend ordered the Lemon Meringue. The tiramisu was the best I've had. It was fresh, light and creamy the coco powered dessert was delightful and went well with my latte with baileys. The lemon Lemon Meringue was sweet yet tart with creamy lemon filling with a billowy meringue.

Overall it was a fabulous night out. The highlight of our evening was talking to the owner, Alex, he sat down at our table and we had a wonderful conversation, he shared with us the training he did with the folks from Italy on the oven and the trials and tribulations of getting the oven dialed for pizza perfection.

My husband and I visited Vernon a couple of weeks ago and we are big pizza people! We decided to try out this cute little place we found on google, and we are so glad we did!! As soon as we walked in we noticed the clean and visually beautiful atmosphere and loved how spaced out the tables were.

The best part of the whole experience - THE SERVICE!! It’s rare to find an attentive and friendly server who appears to love their job these days (we both worked in the restaurant game for a long time). We were both thoroughly impressed with Arina (based off our receipt) - and we made sure to tell her she was a phenomenal waitress! She was kind, made suggestions, always refilled our water without question, and let us order one thing at a time! When we wanted to add an additional sauce to our pizza there was no hesitation and no cost - we were very surprised. She even complimented us on our creation and noted the chef wanted to try it! My husband and I also noticed how smooth the staff worked together and was very systematic and helpful to each other. We believe the owner or manager was there as well - HELPING and showing care in the restaurant in many areas!

If you want to know about the food… it did not disappoint!! We shared not one, but two gardino pizzas and added red sauce to them as well. They were incredible! This pregnant woman even went home and lost some of her dinner, but I ate my leftovers for breakfast it was that good!! Oh and finally, I can’t forget the chili oil! It was AMAZING, hands down the best chili oil I have had.

Overall, we would visit again if in town and we would highly recommend to family and friends! Thank you...
