I have been coming to Kiki Gardens for nearly 40 years. In all my time, dining at Kiki Gardens and enjoying their delectable Chinese food, I do not believe there has been a change of ownership other than that of retirement. The elderly Chinese cook is amazingly talented, as is the other 4 chefs they have. Their food is always very delicious. I am sad to see they could not re-open their smorgasboard offering since covid 19. Government health rules have definitely ruined the enjoyment of patrons at more than one restaurant. This, however, has not deterred from the delicious flavor of their dishes on their menu. The smorgasboard then was the best I have ever eaten. . . anywhere. Nowdays, they also have a very scrumptious and reasonably priced lunch special! 💥 Come in for lunch or a flavorful Chinese dinner and say hello to Sheryl and the talented friendly staff! 😊

Kiki Gardens was my 125th restaurant in Vernon. My friend and I had our quarterly lunch date. I had Shanghai Noodles which were delicious. I can't comment on the cost as my friend paid for the meal. The chef came out to verify my friend was fine with specific ingredients in her wor won ton soup because of her recent dental procedure. Overall, it was yet another delicious meal in Vernon.

Such a great evening out. Allan and his wife prepare such delicious food and it’s always so fresh. The wait staff is attentive and friendly and the prices are reasonable. We always enjoy bringing our family here. The lazy Susan on the tables keep the food moving and conversations flowing.

I'm from Vancouver, so i always expect something to be off about Chinese food when i head out of the city, but this is by far, the worst Chinese food I have ever had. If I could give negative stars, I would. Every single food court experience I have ever had, tasted, and was presented better than this. Even the ones that gave me food poisoning.

The "chow mein" (I had the chicken chow mein) was a clump of tasteless noodles, cooked in water, ramen consistency, with equally tasteless, bland, wet chicken, which was sparsely laid on top of the clump. The veggies (bean sprouts, cabbage, and... peas?) were obviously cooked separately, with the wet chicken i would assume, and were just thrown on top with that chicken. Nothing is mixed together, it's all assembled at the end rather than cooked nicely together in a pan, which is (spoiler alert) how you make chow mein.

I don't want to sound like some awful person here, I'm just really pissed off that i paid 13 dollars for something I could have gotten from a god damn dollar giant; I.E. Mr. Noodles. I could have thrown on some left over chicken breast, and made it just as fancy as what ever the hell this was. I'm no Gordon Ramsey, but I have multiple friends in Chinese food businesses and this is just.... kind of disgusting.

Also, the chicken balls? Really fricken gross. I tried to ask if they could just put some sweet and sour sauce on some of the chicken they use for lemon chicken or something, but apparently that's undo-able. I was fine with that- but dear god, those things are blander than a chicken nugget from Mc Donalds. Also, you would think that they could spare some of the oil they fried them in to make chow mein correctly.

If any yahoo tells you that what the heck I just /attempted/ to eat is good, they obviously have never had real Chinese food, or just sandpapered their taste-buds off so that everything tastes pleasantly like cardboard!

Save yourself the colossal disappointment, and go to a god damn mall food court to get your Chinese food. The Wok will give you ten times the quality of what...

I was excited at first to try this place since it had four stars at the time. The person who answered the phone was nice. The delivery guy was nice. They are nice people, but the food here SUCKS.

Allow me to elaborate. I ordered the chicken chow mein. Kinda bummed that they didn't have lo mein but I can deal. Immediately after I pulled the food container out of the bag I knew it was bad. It smelled terrible! I opened it and found out why. It had goddamn peas. Peas do not belong in chow mein. They belong no where near chow mein. Why were there peas in there?? Upon further inspection I discovered that the noodles were cheap-- they looked straight out of a ramen noodle pack. I just spent over 20 dollars on craptastic food I could literally buy anywhere for 15 cents, and I refused to eat it. My friend convinced me to take one bite. I did, in hopes that it wasn't as bad as it looked or smelled. Again, I was disappointed. I had to scrape it off my tongue the moment it entered my mouth. I could not force myself to eat this food even thought I bloody paid for it. I knew for a fact that if I ate the food I would have gotten sick. The noodles tasted like watered down peas and chicken. In other words they tasted really, really disgusting.

Kiki Gardens Restaurant, which I am now calling Kiki Garbage Restaurant, is the worst Chinese food I have ever experienced. Actually, this was the worse food I have ever experienced overall. Expired pierogis tasted better than this. School cafeteria food tasted better than this. Mall food is WAY better than this. I would rather just go outside, pick a leaf off a tree, and eat that than eat the "food" they serve. I will never order here again. I have no idea what the people of Vernon think is good Chinese food, but this is NOT it.

I want to go ask for a refund, but I do not want to waste the energy on doing so. I might as well just go for a walk just for the exercise. Also, they don't have Chinese doughnuts. They didn't even know what a Chinese doughnut was...

Me and my fiancé have lived in Vernon for the past three years. We have have the pleasure of trying most of the restaurants/lounges in the Vernon and greater Vernon area. We decided to try Kiki garden tonight and see what everyone likes bout it so much because we see it's usually pretty busy. Unfortunately when we got to the restaurant no one was there to greet us at the door and we didn't see a sign to seat ourselves. But after a few minute we decided to just seat ourselves. Then we waiting for the waiter to offer us a beverage after sitting for a short while we decided to just get up and grab some food from the buffet. I tried most everything on the menu that looked some what appealing. After sitting Down and taking the first few bites it was clear there was no flavor or the flavor there was was from sauce on sauce action. The squid was cold along with the potstickers and spring rolls. To be honest everything was pretty cold it was horrible. And most of the food was clearly bought from a frozen food isle and heated in their ovens. So after it's all said and done we get up to pay and the bill with a small tip came to just over 40$!!! this establishment and the service and food provided was a bit rediules for the bill I was handed. But being passive I paid with a. Small tip and decided to write this long review instead only to see it's getting such good reviews that either these people don't have taste buds or even eaten quality Chinese food or their just trols that work for the restaurant. Either way I cannot stress enough to please take your money to temptasians and just pay the little extra for quality Chinese or go to suda where I have never got a bill over 35$ and the food and service is the best or curry pot ... pretty much just be wise with your money and don't fall for this restaurant like me and my fiancé this evening thanks again hope this has helped veer you to a. Awesome dinning experience that you can enjoy in Vernon rather then leaving Vernon...
