Worst experience in a Red Robin my family and I have ever had, hands down. I'm not sure what the deal was tonight (it wasn't busy) but the server and manager were NOT there in any way that was helpful. An hour and a half of waiting for any type of service, being made to feel like we were a pain in the ass for ever even asking for anything or sitting down to eat. I've never felt more unwelcome in an eating establishment in my life.
We sat down at about 5:20pm and were not even offered drinks and menus until 5:45pm, and of course they were "out" of the drinks we asked for initially. After we received our drinks we weren't checked on or asked if we were ready until closer too 6:30pm. Once we received our meals at roughly 6:45pm we were almost entirely ignored after that. We were only asked about drink refills once, which we ordered, but the drinks didn't arrive for over 20 minutes, causing me to cancel mine after 10 minutes which the server didn't take well, asking me who I ordered the drink from after telling me it was being poured. My son finished eating his meal pretty quickly, but the server was nowhere to be found to ask about refills on the bottomless portions of the meal either. My son was only able to get a single refill on his Mac & Cheese during the 1.5 hours we were in the restaurant, ordered from a staff member who wasn't our server, my partner and I got nothing. The worst part is that several times during the service I looked around for the server, but apparently standing behind the serving line talking to co-workers is more important that serving the table you have going. She also took some time out to go around singing Happy Birthday to a couple of random tables (I hope the tipped well). She walked by us about a dozen times, never making eye contact or asking if we needed anything.
Also, shame on the Manager, my family and I eat here at least once a month and during every other time we've been there the Manager has stopped by to ask about service after we received our food, the guy was nowhere to be scene tonight. The only thing that came quickly tonight was the bill, the server was MORE than happy to get that for us quickly. I definitely saw him walking around tonight too, not that he was doing anything.
Overall I paid $73 for the worst service I've ever had, including a free kids meal coupon I brought. At least the food was decent. We're seriously considering never eating here again. Usually the service is really amazing, almost too much, tonight it was nowhere to be found. The cherry on all of this is that it was the 3 year Anniversary of my partner and I, we were planning to go out and enjoy tonight, that didn't happen at Red Robin. I'm pretty angry at the entire situation, I don't usually leave reviews this negative but wow was this place ever garbage tonight. Seriously considering...
Read moreWe had a pretty terrible experience here tonight, and almost every one around us was experiencing the horrible service as well. There weren't more than 10 tables in the entire place all evening, refills weren't being offered, no quality checks, dishes were piling up and not being pregnant bussed. The server would go to one table to bring them something and not even check on the other tables surrounding her or grab any dirty dishes. I've been in this industry for 12 years as well as I used to work at this very location, and I really hate to complain, but we were on one final family night out before our second baby is born and the whole experience was ruined. The food was okay but the burger i ordered was missing toppings, which took like 20 minutes at least to get them brought out because no one was quality checking us. They forgot the red pepper jelly with our appy and it took 20 minutes to get that brought out as well.... for a dip. By the time the things were brought to us that we needed our meal was cold. Was told the manager would be by, but he never came by as he was busy making drinks at the bar, yet people around us and the table beside us weren't even getting their drinks so I have no clue what he was actually doing. It was a huge waste. Our family of three had a $140 bill, any table at any cost should receive great service but when a bill is that high and your PPA is that large on one table you really should be giving mor attention to the table. I dont know if the server was new, which i understand but she had a complete lack of knowledge of how to serve effectively since there wete only about 3-4 tables she was taking care of and every single one of them experienced issues. We heard the man behind us cancel his drink cause of how long it was taking. Tbe guy across from us had to have his burger remade. I just do not understand how she was no where to be found for the entire 1.5hrs we spent there when there was almost nobody in the restaurant. She wasn't even the one who brought half of the food out. We had to ask the expo who was running our food for napkins and cutlery and refills. She was the one who ended up bringing the dip we asked for twice from the server before receiving. It was all around a terrible experience. The food was okay nothing special but better service would have made it a wonderful final night our for us and we left extremely...
Read moreYikes...Doesn't even speak volumes to the service I received today. Walked in, and had to greet the hostess myself as she didn't acknowledge my party of 3 at all for over 2 minutes. Then I asked her how her day was, and she replied with "fine" not fine and you? or anything like that. Then we were seated, after 15 minutes of no one even speaking to us or welcoming us or anything, we just got up and left. at the time there was a total of 9 other guests in Red Robin... So when we stood up to leave I walked over o the hostess (Ray-Leen) and said "Hi Ray-leen, we are just going to leave" to which she replied, ok have a good day. She obviously didn't realize we hadn't been helped etc. so I said, "We are leaving because no one has helped us at all yet- I stood there for about 5 seconds waiting for any kind of response...But nothing came so we walked out. I didn't even get back into my car, my party and I simply walked right across the street and had lunch at another restaurant. This is disappointing because this lunch was for a staff member that I was trying to reward with a nice gesture. Red Robin has lost their opportunity to serve me and my staff ever again as this was an absolute embarrassment. If I was the GM of Red Robin I would read the comments before me, because this seems to be an issue that should be resolved ASAP. I will not be spreading this around, so word of mouth isn't going to happen here. But I am a manager myself, and this kind of thing would make me crazy, so it shouldn't be taken lightly. In closing I am very disappointed and more so because my staff really wanted a Red Robin milkshake, but didn't get one :( I look forward to hearing from...
