It was my 107th eatery in Vernon on my quest to eat at every eatery in Vernon.
My parents and I came here for the very first time ever.
For the sixth time in this quest, I decided to eat meat.
C-Lovers is the worst restaurant for vegetarians in Vernon. Other than appetizers, there aren't any vegetarian main dishes. You would be limited to onion rings, deep fried pickles, battered mushrooms, peas, coleslaw, etc.
However, it's definitely doable if you do two appetizers.
You can do All You Can Eat Fish and Chips for $19.99. It includes unlimited soda refills.
We also shared Deep Fried Pickles. They aren't as good as Sir Winston's, but they were still delicious.
My mom had the halibut platter and my dad had the cod platter.
All three of us were really happy with our meals.
We like that everything was lightly battered and the ranch sauce goes great with it.
The venue is much bigger than we anticipated. It also leans to a much older demographic amongst customers.
The server was super friendly.
The venue was very clean.
Although we paid everything on a single bill, I estimate my All You Can Eat meal including unlimited soda would be $23.60 after tax and a 15 percent tip.
Restaurant complete. Highly recommend!

Read moreUpdate; We returned, and the experience was much improved! The food and service were both quite good. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed, but overall, they did a great job. I would recommend ordering the platter for two. It is delicious, so I suggest visiting while the quality is still high! We visited on the night of the Stanley Cup game, and the restaurant was surprisingly empty.
Unfortunately, the food was not up to par. It was greasy, and the chips seemed stale and possibly refried. The portions were also smaller than they used to be, which was disappointing. It is a shame. If the restaurant is slow, the portions are small, the food is old, and the service is poor, it feels as though we are inconveniencing them by dining there.
Please note that the service and food quality are better on busy nights! It is worth the wait. The food is fresh, the chips are better, and the staff, though frazzled, is more attentive. Therefore, waiting in line might be a good idea. Otherwise, the food quality and service are not worth the cost, as the prices are no longer...
Read moreOrdered two orders of halibut and chips for pick up ( because of no inside dining). My husband picked it up had to pay extra for tarter sauce because we weren't dining in. Paid for it bill came to almost 30 dollars. Didn't think anything about amount but disappointed about extra for tarter sauce. He gets home 30 mins down Westside road. We open up pkg and there is only ONE ORDER of fish and chips. I called C LOVERS. they said I had only ordered one ( completely untrue). Then I said you are charging almost 30 dollars for two pieces of Halibut and chips ? His response was yes and I asked why we had to pay for tarter as an extra. He responded that if you eat inside the restaurant it is free if you do take out you have to pay for it. I said well we are unable to eat inside your restaurant right now and we are trying to support local restaurants during this hard time and we chose yours for tonight's dinner but we will NEVER AGAIN eat there regardless of take out or when we can inside again. We eat at cLovers at the coast when visiting friends but I will not be using them in...
