First, the waiter was super cute. Young man, very nice, always smiling. He has trouble with English but it was ok I guess. Hard to communicate when the waiter can’t speak English but he had a very nice smile and friendly. The restaurant is clean. The chicken was good! The reason for there three star …. All it was was chicken, a plate of a lot of chicken! That’s it. It came with a tablespoon of cold mashed potatoes and a bit of coleslaw but the rest was just a big portion of chicken. The appetizer was brought out after we finished our meal and was served with a smile without realizing it was bring brought out after we finished our meal. The appetizer was $28 and again, a large portion of sliced pork with a tablespoon of cold mashed potato and coleslaw so it was a meal, not an appetizer. Lovely place, waiter was very nice. It was very expensive for a plate of chicken. That’s it, just a plate of chicken. $120! It was the weirdest experience! Our plates weren’t removed when we finished and our appetizer was brought out after we ate, with a smile but did it not occur to them it’s a little late? Good Ovening Korean Pub and Oven Roasted Chicken in downtown Victoria is a delightful dining experience. My friends and I visited for lunch and were welcomed with warm hospitality and the mouthwatering aroma of freshly cooked dishes.

We started with the cheese burger rolls, which were so delicious that they vanished before we could take a photo. The rolls had a perfectly crispy outer shell, reminiscent of a spring roll, and were generously stuffed with a savory filling. Next, we ordered a half portion of the boneless soy garlic chicken. The chicken was tender and juicy, and dipping it in their chili sauce added a delightful kick—highly recommended!

We also tried the so-tteok skewers with honey mustard, which were so enjoyable that we ordered another round with spicy chili sauce. The combination of flavors was even better the second time.

The only downside was the restroom situation, as they are located upstairs without disability access, which could be inconvenient for some guests.

Lots of good flavors in there, but dish was so spicy I could barely taste it. I eat a lot of very spicy food, but this was overboard. Many dishes are also served in cast iron bowls that do not allow the boiling hot food to cool down. 20 mins later, I'm still blowing on my food. I also have no idea what I just ate, but it was supposed to include fish cakes, there was absolutely nothing that resembled fish in my meal, but there was what appeared to be pieces of pasta and some sort of fried soy product. Definitely never ordering that again. I can say they do make a very good Beef Udon soup, I think I'll just stick to that from now on.

I have come here several times and I can also say they play horrible music. It's either cheesy and super depressing lyrics, or degenerate immature pop rap using profanity and the N word. Maybe they think it's cool, I just think it's bad. Again, I like hip hop, but not this...
