Went to see The Sound of Music sing along a few weeks ago. It's was so so good!!!! And just when I thought I was the only sound of music nerd lol. The theater is beautiful and clean, and the bathroom stalls have some funny pics of the Queen šŸ‘ø šŸ˜„ lol. There is a small concession stand. It's an older theater, so if you're short and a tall person sits in front of you, you're out of luck. I got lucky, also, the screen is high enough to lean back and enjoy. Lots of leg room and the chairs were comfy. I was sitting for three hours. The parking is the only setback. Had to walk a ways for a parking garage. Share a cab it's cheaper. It was super cheap to see this show! I was thrilled. Highly recommend this theater. Lastly, the employees were smiling and were super friendly and helpful. Ty Vic Theater!

The Vic Theatre is one of my favourite places to go on a night out. It's volunteer run, which makes it even more impressive that they can make so many amazing events and screenings happen. They're a licensed theatre which means most showing are 19+ but they have all ages showings often too. It's fun being able to have a beer or other Bev while watching a film in theatres. The best part of the theatre is the films they show. Any time I go, even if I know nothing about the film. It's always a hit. Thanks Vic theatre!!

The Vic doesn't just have the best popcorn, a focus on local and Canadian Made treats, and the best volunteers, it also is a truly unique cinema experience! You will see movies that you never thought you might enjoy, that will broaden your horizons and in a world of tiktok and Netflix being able to go somewhere that loves all forms of cinema is so special. <3 Oh and the 24 Hour Batman marathon was hands down my favourite cinematic experience!

This place is without a doubt, the most charming movie theatre I've been to.

I decided to catch a showing of 'The Tale of Princess Kaguya' on a whim, and I'm really glad I did. The staff and my fellow patrons were both conscientious and polite, the popcorn was perfect, the drink selection was great, and the ambience is something that bigger establishments are going to struggle to replicate.

Oh, and as a bonus, the staff also saw fit to play short, awesome, TED Talks instead of the awful commercials for real estate and liposuction that precede movies at a lot of places here in the United States.

As a trifle, the seats were a little uncomfortable, but not in a way that interfered with my experience. Needless to say, I'll definitely coming back for another show, should I ever find myself in...

The Vic Theatre is the perfect place in downtown Victoria to view a wide selection of movies you won’t find at the typical chain theatre. The people working behind the counter or checking your tickets are volunteers who are happy to serve you the best popcorn in town (I always order the largest size so that says a lot about the quality or maybe it’s just me) and there’s a robust selection of non and alcoholic beverages to choose from. What a great place to watch a movie in company of people who love movies! It’s important to support small, independent theatres like the...
