Original Pho Eatery - Downtown Victoria — Restaurant in Victoria

The Original Pho in downtown location is perhaps the most Vietnamese vibes of Vietnamese restaurant in Victoria!

I love this restaurant!!! Although I have been to several Vietnamese restaurants in Victoria before, I personally feel this is the best if you want to eat Vietnamese dishes in Victoria. Apart from the others, you can see real Vietnamese tastes and an appearance. Also, inside the restaurant looks clean and cozy. You can feel comfortable even if you are individually! Additionally, all members of staffs are so thoughtful, helpful and caring. I have been to there several times before, then I always order Free Range Chicken Pho,which has recommended by Leah!! She gave me memorable time and suggestions!! She is so thoughtful and caring employee!! Also, another employee who is a boy told me Happy birthday gently. It became unforgettable birthday ever!! The Original Pho in downtown location makes me warm calmly and the taste like a real local one in that I went to Vietnam lots of times before!! Definitely you can not only acquire warmth physically , but it also must heal your mental positively for real!! Even if you feel the price doesn’t look like reasonable one, you can get how wonderful...

The food was honestly incredibly disappointing. I assumed that given this place opened on a block that already has multiple Vietnamese restaurants (not to mention starts at a much higher price point) it would be at least as good, if not better, than the rest. Unfortunately this was not the case. I ordered a takeout vermicelli bowl, carried just across the street so no time for it to cool off naturally. The meat was lukewarm, and the prawns had dabs of some sort of fat on them which I assume was supposed to melt but did not, because they weren't hot. Essentially partially congealed lard or something similar on each prawn. The noodles underneath were piping hot, leading me to believe that the meat was sitting around before the bowl was made. The pork was also at least a quarter inedible bits of undercooked/unrendered fat. The bowl did not come with any fish sauce, so it was just plain noodles and plain raw veggies with warmish meat and congealed fat on top. I ate half because I was at work and had no other options for food, but the rest will be going in the compost. Really disappointing and I don't really see the need to try this...

My partner and I recently visited the newly opened The Original Pho in downtown Victoria, and we were absolutely blown away. The experience was exceptional from start to finish.

First and foremost, the food was incredible. Our pho was served steaming hot, with a spectacular depth of flavor that highlighted the fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each bite was a perfect harmony of savory broth, tender meat, and crisp vegetables, making it clear that great care went into every aspect of preparation.

The service was equally impressive. The staff were attentive and friendly, constantly checking in to ensure we had everything we needed and that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect.

The restaurant itself is cozy and inviting, providing a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. The menu offers a fantastic range of traditional Vietnamese dishes, and the attention to detail is evident in every dish.
