Unfortunate experience today. After we placed our order, we were informed that there was no more rice. We requested a refund, they did try to give me cash, but unfortunately we are from out of town and we had paid with our card. We asked for them to refund it back to the card, he said they couldn’t because management wasn’t there. Miraculously they found some rice and said they could fulfill our order. When our plate came out, the chicken had hair weaved in it. When we brought it to their attention, they didn’t apologize and were not happy that we asked that they give us another piece of chicken. When they remade the chicken the rice was cold by that point and our pho was luke warm as well. Customer service was not good. Would not recommend eating here.
In response to owner: As you can see, the chicken was not cooked correctly then because unfortunately it is your chicken, this is clearly not a piece of fried chicken. And to call a customer a liar after having to have gone through that kind of experience instead of just apologizing for the mistake shows how you run your business. How unfortunate, but it shows why small businesses are not making it. You expect the customer to stay silent and just take whatever you give them at high prices. Very disappointing, and you can’t hold your customers liable for your struggling business but only how you run it...
Read moreCame here by default as we were trying to find another restaurant, but these guys were closer. 🤣 We ordered steak vermicelli, spring rolls, #62 rare beef and beef ball Phở, side rice, 1 viet coffee, 1 side saté broth, and 3 tea. Came to $70ish. The postives: The spring rolls are probably some of the best I've had in North America. I've eaten Viet all over. The grilled steak for the vermicelli dish my mom had was tasty and tender. I especially enjoyed the shallots and cilantro I the bowl. The meat for the Phở was fresh and tasty. Their saté Phở, while it's not authentic - was full-bodied and different from the style of saté I've had in AB with coconut milk added. The negatives: My broth wasn't hot enough for me. I like to scald my tongue. The saté broth was though. The Vietnamese coffee needed more of a stronger brew on the amount of water. It lacked the thickness you need of a strong espresso brewed viet coffee. Also, while the regular broth had a good amount of the spice blend, it lacked the beefy bone umami. Tasted a bit bland. You need the big bold bone flavor and a little bit of the fat from the marrow for a well-rounded bowl of Phở. I'd go back for the spring rolls and vermicelli.. and maybe the saté. Also, the price is a little steep for what I usually pay. Don't come for the ambiance unless you want the ambiance of true...
Read moreThis is kind like a half self serve restaurant, you gotta go order at the cashier by yourself, but after you pay, they will do the rest ! The price range for entry is fair, I ordered a large pho soup( the so called very adventurous type :)) it cost me 11 dollars! The soup tastes good, you can tell if they added a lot of msg or sugar after you eat your food. I wasn’t chasing for water whole evening long after dinner, so that’s a good sign! I loved my ox tail, tendons, and beef. The only downside with it is they have added all the garnish in for you already, like basil, a tiny bit of lime, a bunch of bean sprout, some thin sliced onions... etc. I don’t mind it, I like them all, but what if some customers don’t like or usually don’t add some of those? They are gonna he upset when they receive the fish right?! Just a thought here ! The only thing I don’t really like is the fried rolls we ordered, I think it’s over 5 dollars an order, it comes with two skinny fried rolls and a little pickled radish and carrot on the side. The fried rolls taste just ok, nothing surprising! Over all it is...
