If I could give this Boston Pizza zero stars, I would. HR seriously needs to reevaluate who they’re placing in management specifically AMAN.
We visited on a quiet Tuesday evening. Our server, Alex, was clearly overwhelmed, juggling both bar and floor responsibilities solo. She did her best, and I respect the effort. this critique is NOT about her.
The real issue lies with Aman, the so-called manager on duty. As someone who supervises and serves at a busy downtown Toronto restaurant, I was stunned at his complete lack of leadership. He spent the evening doing the bare minimum, only appearing to run food at the last second. No support for Alex, no presence on the floor, no awareness of guest experience, just tunnel vision on cutting corners.
When I brought up that our food was punched in incorrectly and our drinks took 20 minutes to arrive, Aman offered a half-hearted “sorry” and nothing else. No comp, no real accountability just a robotic 10% discount (after I asked for a discount) on the cheapest item on our bills. I explained I wasn’t paying full price for food I didn’t order, service that missed the mark, and an overall uncomfortable environment. Instead of listening, he argued for fifteen minutes.
Unfortunately, Alex saw our frustrations and decided to take care of the drinks herself. I hope that the manager Aman pays her for that because he should be the one to take care of them.
The lack of professionalism was appalling. I left feeling frustrated for the staff and disappointed as a guest.
If Aman is managing, skip this location. And if you do come, do not tip through the machine—give your server or bartender cash. They deserve it....
Read moreSept 18 2025 we arrived at 6:10pm for supper. The owner seated us right away. The restaurant was not busy with only approximately 27 people in the dining room. We ended up waiting almost 15 minutes and then a manager came and took our order appologizing for the wait and telling us they are swamped with 50 people coming in all at once. Our server was supposed to be Ashlyn but we never did see her until she asked if we wanted dessert and then she brought our bill. Once the manager took our order things proceeded quickly. There was another young lady named Shyla (hope I spelt it right) she was a very hard working young lady. She served about 6 tables and she always had a smile and she was very attentive to them.
Feb 6th 2025: We arrived for dinner at 615pm, we where greeted as we walked in the door and seated in a booth. We were only there a few minutes and Marcie came over and introduced herself and took our order. Marcie brought our drinks and then shortly there after Anastacia brought our meals. Our spaghetti and meatballs and chicken mushroom fettuccine were absolutely delicious. Anastacia checked back with us as did Marcie throughout our meal and refilled our drinks as needed. We have always had great service and wonderful food from this location. Thank you for a great evening, you never seem to disappoint.🙂

Read moreWe love Boston Pizza, however this one needs better service. We came to this location Labour Day weekend, and sure enough, they were busy. Even so, we got a table fairly quickly and had our orders taken shortly after. The food was good! We had to wait a long time to get a drink refill though. We understood they were busy but the waitress walked by our table multiple times eyeing our empty glasses and moving on to other tables. Our daughter had the cheese quesadilla. We asked to leave out the chicken, serve with fries and a water. The kids meals were already $7.99 for a tortilla wrap with melted cheese on it, a handful of fries, and a water. What really shocked us was when we asked for the dessert that came with it to be the take away chocolate chip cookie they charged us extra. Really? So the make your own ice cream sundaes were free with the meal but one cookie was an extra $1? Who charges a dollar for a store bought cookie anyways? Something offered for free in the bakeries of grocery stores. You need to have take home options for children’s dessert like most other restaurants. Eating a full bowl of ice cream with syrup and candy isn’t always something a child needs before bed.
3 stars for exceptional food. Service, lack of options for dessert (kids meal), and the very noticeable fly tape with nearly 100 dead flies, easily viewable from our booth needs some attention.
