This location has easily earned the distinct title of "The Worst Wild Wing Experience". We have been to half a dozen locations over the years, and each one is usually about the same... decent food, reasonable prices, but usually very good service.
This time around, the food was below par in comparison, the prices were as expected, but the service and accuracy was absolutely horrible.
We had a lunch reservation for our family which was made because we had a slightly larger group and wanted to make sure there was space for us on what we expected to be a busy afternoon in a beach town. Making the reservation was a bit exhausting, but in the end it was fine. Based on the tone we had with the reservation, we expected the place to be busy, but when we arrived, I think we were the first customers of the day, as we were the only ones in the restaurant.
Since we were the only ones there, you would think that service would be good and the food would arrive fast, hot, fresh, and accurate since all focus would be on us and no other orders to worry about...unfortunately, this was not the case.
It took the server 10 mins to take our drink orders from the time we sat down (remember, we are the only ones in the place). And it took at least 5 more mins to enter it in the POS. After the order was placed she began making our drinks and delivering them to the table 1-2 at a time. The last beer arrived at the table 5-10 mins later. It was the wrong type and was at least half foam/half liquid. She apologized for the amount of head on top and blamed an issue with the draft system...It wasn't even a draft beer! We watched her pour bottles into the glass. There was no attempt to make it right, and was deemed acceptable? Note to the server...when you order a schooner of beer and it's half foam, it's not full. You are actually missing almost a full pint of beer. Also, I'm not sure if you have ever drank a beer after 4-5 inches of head has settled, but I can assure you it doesn't taste good.
After another laborious round of placing orders and having them slowly entered into the computer system we sat waiting, and waiting, and waiting some more. By now, a few other customers have come in. Since our order was already placed and entered 20-30 mins prior, we assumed that we were far enough along for this to affect us any further. At this point, we have been here for about an hour.
Now, I am not sure if the added customers did cause a delay, but this had to be the slowest kitchen in the history of Wild Wing. I get that we are a larger group, but it's not like we were a party of 20 or 30...there were 10 of us. We didn't even fill two tables, so there was absolutely no reason for it to be over an hour to receive all of our food from the time it was ordered. And if you are trying to add up the time, we are now an hour and a half into our visit when the first entrees hit the table.
One by one dishes slowly arrive at the table, the last arriving about 20 mins after the first. I am not sure what the issue was, but orders should come out together or at least within a minute or two when it's a larger group, so that we can eat together.
The quality was ok but not as good as we expected. By no means were we expecting Michelin Star plating and presentation (I know where we are), but it literally looked like food was tossed on the plate from 5 feet away. Overall, let's say it was edible.
After all of the food was sent out we noted that almost half of the orders were wrong in some way. Some mistakes making it hard for each person to have enough to eat. We didn't have any special requests, so there shouldn't have been any mixups, but missing salads, wrong wing types or flavours, and wrong side items made it hard to enjoy the meal. And we weren't about to send it back...we would have been there for another hour!
In the end, we quickly paid our bills and made our way out after being there for over 2 hours...for a simple wing lunch. Happy Father's Day dad, I hope you...
Read moreThe wings were okay, but that's all. We ate here last night on a Saturday. Business was slow with only one table and two customers inside when we arrived at about 9:20pm. Service was terrible. Took about 55 mins to receive our food, and that was the appetizer, which was prepared incorrectly. The Irish nachos did not have jalapeño on top and they gave us marinara sauce instead of salsa. We pointed this out and asked for the salsa, but they returned with the same thing and said that's all they have. I honestly don't think they knew what salsa was. Our family had been there before many times and previously had great experiences. They did not recognize anyone working this time. It is clearly under new ownership and/or management and the new staff don't have a clue what they are doing. It is sad. A large group came in after us with 20 people including a few children. They ordered drinks, and then we're told they could not order food as the kitchen was closing. That was around 9:50pm and the restaurant closes at 11pm. They were very upset and requested to speak with the manager, who was not present. When we left at ~11pm, the staff rushed outside, locked the door and got into car that was picking them up.
I don't like to leave negative reviews and rarely do, but people need to know what to expect at this place. This is not a reflection on all Wild Wings, just...
Read moreWent there last night (Sept 13th), and the blonde waitress wasn't friendly at all, we stood at the door for 5+ mins as all the staff were in the back doing who knows what, when she finally emerged, she didn't greet us, just gave us a Kurt "sit wherever", when taking our drink order she cut me off when I asked if they had coke or pepsi products, and just brought me a Pepsi (which is fine I like pepsi), then took forever to take our order, I ordered a starter of potato skins and they were awful, greasy, poorly cooked, and not at all what the description said - no green onions etc, it was just poorly cooked bacon and cheese.
We ordered our boneless wings and mine were barely sauced, and the batter was so hard I broke a tooth, not to mention dryer than the Sahara desert,
The place was full of flies and we had spiders crawling cross the table.
The place wasn't busy but I watched a family be sat for 20 mins no drinks nothing, they walked out and honestly I wish I did before we sat down.
When came time to pay the waitress slammed the debit machine on the table and didn't even thank us for being there.
Overall I will never order or eat here again. Really poor representation...
