Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Wasaga Beach

We've been ordering Domino's for decades and it's always been our #1 go-to pizza restaurant choice.

It was our first time ordering from this location and decided to order our usual, the "viral Domino's pizza" (12" pan with Philly steak, bacon, extra regular cheese plus cheddar cheese with garlic-parm sauce. Also added garlic & herb spice, and requested square-cut). We've been ordering this since last year when the viral video fist came out, and this was either our 8th or 9th different location ordering this custom pie (have ordered it at least 30-35 times).

Ordered online for pick-up. This location was surprisingly pretty busy for an afternoon. Pick up service was great with a friendly atmosphere and smiles all around.

Got back to our cottage all excited to dig in, and at first glance were very disappointed. Not only was the pie NOT square cut as requested (and typed in ALL CAPS on receipt - see photo), but there was barely any Philly steak on the pie, and where there was, it was mostly near the crust, with some slices not having any at all. Even the bacon was much less than any other order we've had (see photo). Next, you'd expect after ordering double cheese PLUS extra cheddar cheese (so triple cheese), the slices would be all cheesy, gooey and stringy as you lift them up, but no, it was more like a single serving of half mozz, half cheddar, with more sauce than any toppings. We didn't taste ANY Philly steak except the few areas where you can see it, didn't taste any garlic-herb spice, just the runny parm sauce, and we could barely taste the bacon.

Then to make matters worse, the entire pizza was the most undercooked we've ever had. I mean the dough was almost translucent! (see photos) Half of us got grossed out and lost our appetite while the starving rest of us had the inconvenience of waiting for the oven to heat up to cook the pie as close to the bottom burner to at least make it edible. Even then, it tasted like doughy parm sauce with hints of bacon here and there. This is literally the worst pizza we've ever had!

My wife and I ordered pizza and cheese bread the other night. When it was delivered the driver to our suprise had told us it was already paid for as we had not paid for anything yet. In my opinion, the pizza was very bland (most likely a corporate recipe so not blaming this particular location). The cheese bread was pretty dry and did not have very much cheese. I'm writing this review because of what happened the next day.

I received multiple missed calls at around 9-9:30pm. I eventually called back asking what was the call for. They said I had order food yesterday and I did not pay. I responded saying that the driver told us it was already paid for (maybe a pay it forward moment or something). They told me he was a new driver and him and the cashier made a mistake and that they were sending a driver to our home to collect payment. I agreed to pay, but found it a bit bizarre that they would call us multiple times until we picked up or called back as it was a mistake made by their company. As someone who works in the restaurant industry if a restaurant makes a mistake they usually comp the meal or cover your food the next time you ordered etc. I have never heard of a place calling the customer multiple times for any reason. Although it is not a big deal to pay for food I ordered, this situation was not a very good look for this location...

I absolutely love this branch! Its proximity to Wasaga Beach makes it the perfect spot to indulge in delicious pizza after a day of sun and sand. I appreciate the extensive selection of toppings available, allowing me to customize my pizza just the way I like it.
