Watch those bills guys! Last night a group of 6 of us went for apps and drinks for a Bachelorette. We were expecting to spend quite a bit of money but it was all wrong! First when we got there we asked for a birthday song to happen to the Bachelorette to embarrass her but they never did that. The host told us aswell that because we were a party of 6 or more that we would get a 15% DISCOUNT (keep this in mind) , so we got excited and ordered a bunch of food and drinks immediately. Both food and drinks took awhile to come but when it did many other servers that weren't our waitress brought it to us. Getting refills for the drinks was difficult as our waitress completely ignored us and was way more focused on the smaller groups sitting in her area. To give you an idea for the 3 hours we sat there I received 3 drinks which was a chore to order. When we got our food my salad had zero dressing on it, it was pretty much a fancy bowl or dried brown lettuce, the poutine tasted like someone dumped a whole bottle of salt in the gravy, Buffalo sauce is actually a sweet BBQ sauce, it was just all wrong. When we were done the pile of dishes we had our server wouldn't Remove. We had to get someone else to clear the plates so we could continue to drink, again never happened. The next hour and half we pretty much sat there with all our dishes piled up on our table and our waitress never once tried to take any or even stopped at our table long enough to ask to have it removed. Now for the stressful part, paying the bill. Remember that discount we were told we'd get? Ya that was actually a mandatory 15% tip to the waitress. 15%! So for 6 people, paying separately, because we were at 1 booth, which now we know they stuffed us there for this tip to work instead of giving us a table. The manager explained that because we were at that booth we'd all have to pay the 15%, if we sat at the tables we wouldn't of had to. At first the waitress said it only worked on debit but when the ones of us that paid cash we lost $10 each. We calmly explained that she made $56 in tips when we sat there for hours with no service, we didn't get to drink like we wanted or have a decently clean table to socialize at. Our waitress did nothing for us the whole time and now you're forcing us to pay her $10 in tips each?!?! That's theft. We then had to argue with her that she has done nothing to deserve that tip. Had she of done her job we would of all gladly tipped her super well and she had great potential to make quite a bit from us in tips but I will not have an establishment ignore me, treat me like crap and then steal money. This 15% mandatory tip is not advertised anywhere, it starts as a discount and ends with you broke and covered in dishes. After we told her we weren't leaving till we got our money back her attitude got even worse and really was an ignorant person. Now we still don't know what caused her to ignore us to be begin with but this girl needs to find a new job and Crabbys needs to advertise that they steal $10 off of everyone's bill without question. Ask your servers if you dare to try this location , our group will definitely never be back and we will continue to warn people about the theivery...

We came to Crabby Joe's as a group of four 19-year-olds (originally expected five, but one friend couldn't make it). We got a table for six so we could watch the UFC fights and were seated early with a great view of the TVs. We were told there was a $10 per person coverage fee to watch the PPV event, which we all paid without issue. We ordered our food and were enjoying the night. About an hour and a half into our visit--while we were still eating-we were suddenly told we had to move because a party of six needed our table. Even though we had paid the coverage fee, had our food on the table, and got there early to secure a good spot, they forced us to move to a booth tucked away in the corner where we couldn't see the fights at all. We protested and explained the situation to our waitress, who brought over the manager. We told him we had paid, were already eating, and were clearly there first. He offered a different booth with only slightly better visibility, but the experience was already ruined. We asked for our coverage fees back, and after pushing back a bit, he agreed-but said we had to leave. We accepted that and paid for our meals. Before leaving, we asked for takeout boxes for the food we didn't get to finish, and the waitress told us the manager wouldn't allow us to take any food home. We found this extremely petty and unnecessary. As a group of 19-year-olds, we couldn't help but feel like they thought they could take advantage of us because of our age. It really seemed like they assumed we wouldn't speak up or push back. The whole situation felt unfair and disrespectful. Bottom line: we came early, paid the required fees, and were respectful throughout - and we still got treated like our business didn't matter. We won't be returning, and if you're thinking of coming here,...
Read moreI won't be rushing to come to this Crabby Joe's again. First we were declined a booth as they are kept for larger groups. No larger party came in that had more people than ours. I ordered a Caesar and water. Hardly any ice in the water and it wasn't served with lemon. I had to ask what I received was two thin slices of lemon. Clearly lemons must be valued here as they don't want to provide you a wedge. I ordered the 10oz steak with baked potato. Could not have the baked potato they had none it was after 5 pm. The waiter who took my order didn't tell me when I placed my order. He said nothing when I requested it. This means one of two things either every table in the place ordered a bake potato while I have my order and then he found out there was none. Or he knew and didn't care to say anything when I placed my order. I believe the latter to be true. The sides with the steak were broccoli and carrots. The broccoli was overcooked and the carrots were severely undercooked. The garlic mashed contained no garlic and the potatoes were either a combination of actual and boxed or actual and canned. With either option there wasn't much actual potatoe. The taste was not that of potatoes that had been mashed. I ordered my steak rare when it came to me and I went to cut into I had a plate of red liquid the chef doesn't know that steak needs to rest for a few minutes prior to being placed on a plate and sent out. Our waiter did not bring the appetizers which I can over look. He didn't bring the entre either. I have a huge issue when my waiter doesn't have enough care about his job that he allows other servers to walk his main courses. He also didn't come to check back to see if everything was ok. His tip reflected his lack of attention to anything. This place was a complete disappointment. There are far better options in the area, do yourself a favor and spend your...
