I don't write reviews very often but after this last visit i have the motivation to write these observations: Food was very tired looking, old patties that had next to no flavour, and were VERY dry. Fries were soggy and old, they also had the taste you get when fryer oil isn't changed. Staff (except one, she was decent) were unfriendly and seemed uninterested in listening to my order or in getting it given to me correctly. I asked for a Big Bacon Classic with cheese and was told "We don't have a big bacon classic" which i found odd because it advertises that very product on the online menu, instead they had variations on the menu inside... very strange. DECOR I can honestly say that having spent 30+ years in the area where this location is, and having visited it many times in my past absolutely NOTHING has been changed or updated. The salad bar lights are still on the ceiling despite having no salad bar. It is truly like walking into a time machine, even the carpets are the same, I kept waiting for black cats to appear on the floor indicting I was still stuck in the Matrix... Honestly if they haven't even updated the front of the house i can only imagine what its like where we can't see, in the kitchen. Lastly they messed my order up BOTH of the last two times i visited forcing me the 2nd time to go inside to "avoid" this very problem which happened yet again. This is a 100% true recounting of my LAST experience at Wendy's , I wasn't alone in this...
Read moreGo to Wendy's..particularly this location fairly regularly. The food is consistently good which is the reason for 4 stars. After the experience at the drive thru last night I thought it was time to speak up about the service. Sometimes we will be at the counter ready to order. The diningroom is mostly always nearly empty but needing cleaning, and there will be 5 or 6 staff...not sure why or what they are doing besides talking but noone is ever in much of a hurry to come over to take your order. Last night...ordered $40 in food. When it was ready the young man opened the window and without saying one word, passed out the 3 bags and closed the window. We just sat there wondering if there was more to come. Looked through the bags and it was all there though. What happened to basic customer service and friendliness? Maybe a " There you go, have a nice night" would have been nice. This guy couldn't be bothered to say one word. This is what the staff at this location are consistently portraying... an " I can't be bothered" attitude and the manager is letting them get away with it apparently or whoever is reading all these reviews isn't passing the negative ones on. It's nice to feel like a business appreciates you as a customer . When you spend $40 on fast food and just have it passed to you without anything more than " $40.13" said...not cool Wendy's on Weber St..not cool. Will be visiting the King St location...
Read moreThe food is decent, but the last few times we've ordered the Southwest Avocado Salad (which is really good), the avocado topping was half brown. I'm writing this review though, because of the dining area. It is disgusting. And it hasn't been a one time thing. Tables aren't cleaned, the carpet is dirty, the floors are sticky. When we went last week, the area where you get the condiments smelled really rank - I'm guessing they hadn't emptied the garbage in a while. In addition, there was a big drink spill on the floor that had probably been there all day - it was mostly dried up and, you guessed it, super sticky. It was even in clear view for the people working at the counter, so no excuses that the staff didn't know about it! I'm guessing this is an owner/manager problem being too cheap to hire extra staff so they have time to clean. The place is in dire need of renovations too, with ripped seating and grungy carpets.
Maybe order takeout, but do not dine in. I felt like I needed to take a shower after sitting in the restaurant for 15 minutes. I would've lost my appetite if I wasn't starving hungry.
