Not even a year in this neighbourhood but have been coming to this Boston Pizza quite a bit for dinners drinks take out etc. Never had a bad experience until today.
Briar the waitress was rude, non attentive, short with words, and yet the opposite with everyone around us.
Not too mention, we ask for napkins and she answers "more then this" making us feel like we can't ask for more but then we end up needing more, ask her and she comes back with literally half a stack of napkins which she may not realize was an extremely rude gesture. Also, she kept using the words "You good" yet with everyone else was fluffy to the max actually seeming like she wanted to serve them. I must say it wasn't a nice feeling for us at all.
This isn't even the end, with us already having a terrible experience, she blatantly points us out to a table by us where the ladies immediately turn to stare at us awkwardly. At this point, we just want out.
Honestly Briar, you made us feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome, it makes me truly sad.
Coincidentally we were the only coloured people in the restaurant and her behaviour made us feel as though that was why we were being treated unfairly.
We are industry people and the fact that I didn't eave a tip makes me feel bad but literally had no reason to leave you one.
We enjoy coming to Boston Pizza. Other servers and management have treated us so nicely in the dining and the bar. They all were so welcoming.
The manager from Streetsville just like me (I apologize but I forget his name... Funnel I think) and when we had waited yet again quite some time for her to check on us, we had no choice but to get up and ask to pay our bill. Once the manager began to take payment and was chatting with us because hes familliar with us, I had to let him know I had this horrible of a time. Kudos to him though for trying to make a bad experience, a little better. I appreciate his time to address my concerns.
Every other time we've been, the service was impeccable. Kudos to all the other servers and management. You all are kind and patient.
6/7/19 update
I wanted to acknowledge the prompt response from management addressing our review we left here on Google. Clark the GM personally called us in an extremely polite, attentive, genuine manner - he heard us out and quite frankly, showed that he was empathetic which truly meant a lot. Just the fact that a business would take feedback and address it personally is outstanding. He also left us no choice but to accept a gift card as a kind gesture as he emailed it to us, ha! Not only that, we decided to visit the restaurant for dinner and watch the Raptors game. Our server, Brianna, was amazing. She provided us with the best service as always. We were fortunate enough to have met her when we first moved out here and visited the restaurant - she is the ultimate example of excellent customer service and any restaurant would be lucky to have her represent them. Also, we would like to address Bobby the Manager as he visited our table and greeted us as well. He made us feel very welcome and we respect you highly for that. Thanks to you all, you turned an utterly bad experience for us to an amazing one and we will continue to visit this location and bring all of our...
Read moreVisited here for lunch today - I frequent this location quite a bit and know most of the staff. Today we sat at the bar for lunch - upon sitting down , the hostess came over and gave us menus . The " manager " (lauren ) was at the computer at the other end of the bar , completely involved in her phone not paying attention to anything but that . They had one server on for the whole restaurant . The server ended up having a larger dance group on the dining room side . The manager delivered the food for us and that was the last we seen. The poor server got stuck at the larger table , and the manager wasn't helping her with the other tables . My food was cold , drink empty but couldn't say anything as no one checked. Again not the servers fault , the manager should be picking up slack and helping instead of hiding. I mentioned it to the server when she came over after finishing with the table. She sent the manager over and all she could say was " well I served it when they put it up " The rice was cold , the meat was cold , the bottom of the bowl wasn't even warm which it should've been if the food was hot . I mentioned to the manager politely that since there was one server on that she should be more attentive to help her out which you can see she didn't like . Been in the restaurant biz long enough to know when and how to help. This same manager left kelly high and dry at the end of June as well one lunch . Took off to deliver something and was gone an hour and half, Kelly got smoked and she had zero help. Even when she came back the manager was less than helpful. I know because I was sitting there. If you're going to cut staff , make sure you staff your strongest people , not the weakest. Secondly - her attire was not professional at all in terms of management . She should not be wearing a belly shirt and what looked like slippers . Not a look for management at all. Overall the experience today is not a reflection of the server , or the staff that's normally there that know me . The manager needs some serious training and staffing should...
Read moreI have bin dinning at Boston Pizza for many years and I must say this will be the last. Yesterday evening my wife and I had ordered 2 chicken thai bites with extra noodles and no onions in my wife's dish that was correct, but the reason for ordering the extra noodles was to cool of our mouth as we eat them, they decided to cover the noodles in chicken thai bite sauce wich in turn made the noodles soggy and spicy. And the chicken tasted like rubber. Needless to say it was terrible. The next items we orderd were the big dipper with fries and a large Ceasar salad. In the salad we had asked for the dressing to be on the side so it would not be Soggy upon arrival. They put blue cheese in the ceasers salad instead of ceasers dressing and we poured it on and needless to say ruined an entire salad. I myself am very allergic to cheese and any kind of milk byproduct I ended up having an allergic reaction. The Big dippers meat was entirely tendons and tasted like frozen meat out of a box. And the fries... well there's enough reviews about that. So in conclusion we spent over 60$ picked at a few dishes and threw the rest in the garbage. And then ordered Chinese which all in all came to a 120$ night.
Pro. I called just after we ran into the blue cheese issue. I dint bother calling back after all the other errors. They sent us a new salad and fries, Upon calling and describing our Salad and fries situation. everyone was very polite other than she tried to blame me for the fries being soggy and cold, lol when the new ones arrived they were just as bad. I'm not paying for manners I'm paying for good food. This is the only reason for 1 star if I could give zero I would.
Cons. Everything. I'm very displeased into the way thease establishments are allowing this disgraceful product to pass as food. But this establishment is by far the worst. It stands side by side with...
