I go to loriz bakery maybe once every month because I buy bread in bulk for myself and my sister and store in the freezer. Like 10 or 12. I have always met impeccable customer service. Today I was attended by a lady with the most lousy and rude personality. Her name is Dayan. I walked in and told her I wanted 8 bread. A mixture of slice and unsliced, she said there was no unsliced and I said ok I will go with slice. I would prefer white bread, she responded with a ride, āthereās no white breadā. I ignored her. She came back with the bread and I asked for a box. My normal routine, they would get a box and we would pack the breads together in them. Well guess what, Dayan said there was no box āI saw a box by the corner ā and I asked, how am I supposed to pack this much bread? ā in the most uncouth way, she replied āwell, you were supposed to bring a bag to pack them. I felt terrible, I wanted to let her know how unprofessional and clueless she was, but I wasnāt going to waste anymore time on her. I walked away carrying 8 breads on my hand while she watched. Dayan has a horrible personality. And anytime, or if I ever walk into loriz again and see her, I would walk right out. Get that person some customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLoriz Bakery sells various types of Filipino breads and pastries made fresh. Boy, it smells great inside the store! I've tried so many and I pretty much like them all. My two favorites are the Cheese Ensaymada and Pork Hopia.
Goodies I've enjoyed include: Cheese Ensaymada - Filipino style brioche which is fine textured, soft and lightly sweet topped with butter, sugar, and grated cheese. Pork Hopia - filled with paste studded with scallion and enriched with candied pork back fat (pork flavor). Bean Hopia - made of thin flaky pastry, traditionally filled with mung bean paste (munggo). Pan de Sal - soft bread roll. Get them hot at 3PM daily. Pan de Ube - soft bread roll with sweet yam filling. Pan de Coco - soft bread roll with sweetened shredded coconut meat filling.
They also sell empanadas, pork and beef buns, bread loaves, rice cakes, Spanish bread, and other yummy goodness. This place is perfect for carboloading. Friendly service! Clean store! Stop by if you're...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn March 31, 2020 , I purchased wholesale breads from Loriz Bakery located at 8432 182 St in Edmonton. I had totals of 270 bags of breads in varieties. I resale these breads at my store down in Edson. June 13, 2020 is the expiration date noted on the breads . June 11, I had customers came in and returned the bags of breads because of the BLACK MOLD on side and at the bottom. I checked all breads on my display, all have the same BLACK MOLD too. I pulled out everything immediately and phoned the bakery .
Honestly , itās part of my expense but most of all, it is UNSAFE to sell to the customers.
Wondering if they follow the safety measures of food handling and packaging?
Yesterday, named Elena phoned me . Instead of apologizing and resolve my concern, she reasoning out about the weather and I donāt have the right to complain because I am a CONSIGNEE only. What a terrible...
