I come here regularly, my experience today was so dissapointing. Never coming back again. I ordered my usual, macha and red velvet cake along with my friends. My female friend went to the washroom and i went after her. I took the keys from my friend and used it for the washroom. I only went number one. After i used the washroom, i made sure to leave it clean and made sure to wipe the toilet. After i left the washroom, the staff was arguing with my female friend and asked her why she gave the keys to me. I went to go pass the key back to the staff and she asked me i had cleaned the washroom. I said "yes". She told me if i had lift the toilet seat up or not when i peed, i told her "no, but i made sure to clean it". She told me that she didnt want to wipe the toilet after a man because theyre "messy" and asked me to clean the toilet for her because she didnt want to. I offered to look at the wash room again and check if the washroom was clean, but i did not agree to wipe the toilet. I went to the washroom with my female friend and we both checked and it was clean. The toilet was dry and clean. The front worker lady then went to the washroom and brought a sanitary wipe. I thought that she was going to sanitize the toilet but then she passed me the wipe and asked me to clean it. she did not give me any gloves and this is completely against what i wanted. She kept on insisting, so i had no choice. I cleaned the toilet without any gloves or any protection. Im so dissapointed of the staff. Never apologized, never considered that a PAYING customer is wiping the toilet and doing her JOB. never again will i visit this palce.

The staff im refering to is that...

This is a horrible and extremely unprofessional establishment. I usually don't give ratings often, but this Cafe was so unwelcoming and unprofessional, I had to say something. The owner, or manager, to be honest I'm not sure what position she holds at the cafe, first approached me and forced me to move to a different seat because I was sitting alone in an area meant for 4 people, it wasnt even busy in the cafe during this time, but I complied because it wasn't a big deal, then awhile after I settled down into my new table, she yells out to me if im ready to order. I go up to her because she couldn't hear me and I tell her no I'm not planning to order right now. Then she leads on by ridiculing me saying well this isn't a library this is a cafe so you have to order something. I said I'm not planning to order anything right now, but she continued to force me. Frustrated I ordered something as she forcefully coerced me into it, then I tell her it's to go and she's like oh no u can't take to go. Then I get mad and say well I'm about to leave and I paid so make it to go please, then she rolled her eyes at me and stubbornly handed it to me in a to go cup. I'm assuming she runs the place, and if so, she is truly horrible, as I'm waiting for my ride I notice she did this to a few other people as well. This cafe does not share its policies nor respect its customers. Don't waste your money here. The hot chocolate I got was barely warm and didn't even taste sweet. I'm not sure how this place is still running, but I hope other people don't need to experience what I did if they go there. I wish I had believed the bad reviews before I wasted my time...

If you’re looking for a cafe located in the west side for a nice place to sit and chat, good food and drinks and a place that stays open late, C&D IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO.

Not only is the food mediocre but they priced it up way more than what they bought at costco. And sure the atmosphere is cute and cozy, but if you’re planning on staying more than an hour, brace yourself for the cushioned stools you have to sit on.

To be honest, C&D used to be my go to cafe, since I live on the west side and it was the first cafe in the area for a while. They used to have remarkable customer service, until these past couple of years. I don’t really know what happened but something definitely changed.

I won’t talk too much about my recent experience since it seems like a large majority of us have the same problem. But really, the customer service is horrible. I understand that there are policies but approaching customers with disrespect and literally kicking them out is disappointing, since they made no effort to remind us of their polices.

What’s even more disappointing is that the employee who approached is supposedly the manager or owner. As someone who works in a local business, creating a welcoming and accommodating environment is important.

I definitely will not be coming back, and I definitely don’t recommend this place to anyone, unless you’re looking to get intruded on by the owner. If you’re looking for a place to study or looking to go to a cafe, drive across road to WEM and hop into Paris Baguette, it’ll save you...

Needed a pick me up in the evening as we still had to be out for a bit longer. Suggested we get a coffee and a dessert at this place as it's been on my list of places to try. It's a little hidden in a stripe mall but there's lots of parking to pick from. The double doors in I'm sure will be much appreciated come winter so as to keep the cold air out. The atmosphere inside is modern with a chic warmth. Got lost looking at all the cakes, soo many options and they all look great. Their drinks come in one size only. I got a Hazelnet Latte and decided on their Mocha Cake. My BIL got an Americano and Black Forest Cake whereas my sister got an Earl Grey Tea with a slice of their Tuxedo Cake. My niece picked a Maccaroon Cookie. We placed our order and then given an electronic device that would sound once our order was up. Had to wait no more then 10 minutes. Was told that they ran out of the Mocha Cake so I picked the Tiramisu Cake instead. We were then given three more Maccroon Cookies for free since they had run out of the cake I wanted to try. They were just too kind. Everything was soo good and the pieces of cake were quite large. Lots of tables were full with people either studying or couples. Seems like a popular spot and I would gladly return.

Came out of town to have a quick bite and some tea. There was a group of 4 of us who ordered tea and cake. We sat down to enjoy the atmosphere however were approached within 5mins by the cafe owner: who was rude and disrespectful. She advised that if all 4 of us wanted to sit and enjoy each others company we EACH individually had to order something. Let me remind you this has nothing to do with shared space as the cafe was COMPLETELY EMPTY. We advised her that we wanted to share the cake (as it was a big slice), however she argued with us and told 2 of us to leave. Quite ridiculous when the other 2 group members were underage kids that didn’t want anything for themselves. So we had to leave and I asked for a to go cup and she told me to pay 25cents extra. I poured the tea in myself and she walked away rolling her eyes. No wonder why this cafe is empty and has no business- their policy is stupidand their owner are so disrespectful/rude.

CND is an ideal location for a quiet date, peaceful date or casual afternoon coffee/tea. Received friendly and prompt customer service. The dining experience was really nice because they have top notch decor. One thing to note is that it’s pretty cold in there (really good AC), so make sure to wear some sort of sweater if you’re anemic and always cold like me. The sandwiches are not the most amazing sandwiches I’ve had, but they’re very fairly priced and portioned. The drinks here similar in standard and I was happy my iced matcha latte. I know that (most?) of the cakes here are not made in house as mentioned by other reviewers, but they’re still delicious anyways and have great presentation. The bingsu is AMAZING!! Overall, I would recommend! The prices are on par for the quality and experience. You will have a great date here!
